Doctor Who could be set to revive its beloved festive episode next year, according to new reports. The BBC sci-fi series is one of the broadcaster’s biggest hitters and is soon set to undergo another revamp when Ncuti Gatwa joins as the Fourteenth Doctor. His arrival coincides with the return of showrunner Russell T. Davies, who headed up the first few series of the reboot back in 2005. Now, it’s been speculated there is another change set to thrill fans – the potential return of a Christmas Day episode in 2023. While the show has aired New Year’s Day specials in recent years, fans have been missing the traditional episode, which hasn’t aired since 2017. It’s now believed it’s possible that Ncuti’s run as The Doctor could mark the return of these beloved yearly instalments. CELEBRITY MasterChef returned to our TV screens tonight as five fresh faces cooked up a storm in the kitchen. Danny Jones got off to a flying start and has impressed the judges, however Nancy Dell’Olio was sent home during the first show. The full line-up has been announced for this series and it is jam packed with some well known faces including Faye Winter and Ryan Thomas . In total, 20 celebrities will take part in Celebrity Masterchef 2022 , including several actors, former sports stars and a drag act. Eddie Izzard has been praised by viewers for requesting the use of ‘she’ and ‘her’ pronouns during her latest appearance on Sky Arts Portrait Artist Of The Year. The stand-up comedian appeared on Thursday’s installment which saw contestants creating a portrait of the star. During the programme, Eddie asked host Stephen Mangan and the contestants if she could be addressed as ‘she’ or ‘her’, confirming that she was ‘gender fluid’. ‘This is the first programme I’ve asked if I can be she and her, a little transition period,’ she said, according to the Daily Mail. ‘People just assume, well, know me from before… I’m gender fluid, I just want to be based in girl mode from now on.’ Taking to Twitter in the days after the show was aired, fans sent messages of love and praise to Eddie for standing up and ‘being who she is’.
