John Oliver's gay love story about Vice President Mike Pence's rabbit, Marlon Bundo, is outselling the book it's meant to troll, written by Pence's daughter and illustrated by his wife. On Sunday's episode of Last Week Tonight on HBO, Oliver presented his alternative to the children's book published by the Pences Monday. In it, the VP's pet rabbit falls in love with another male rabbit. The book—written by Last Week Tonight scribe Jill Twiss—espouses inclusivity and tolerance. Oliver decided to publish his own book to troll Pence, who has endorsed controversial policies opposing gay marriage. On Amazon, the Oliver and Twiss book, A Day in the Life of Marlon Bundo, is the number one bestseller in the books department. Charlotte Pence's book, Marlon Bundo's A Day in the Life of the Vice President , meanwhile is fourth. Oliver's book is also outselling former FBI director James Comey's memoir , A Higher Loyalty , which ranks second on Amazon. Mike Pence ups the ante in bid to be Donald Trump’s main challenger for the White House
Eighteen months after they quit the White House, Donald Trump and Mike Pence were back in Washington DC this week. But far from being a warm reunion, the former president and his deputy's separate events less than a mile apart laid bare the emerging rivalry between the pair as they both eye White House bids in 2024. Their competing pitches for the future of the Republican Party also showcased the growing rift at the heart of the GOP as it seeks a return to power. Mr Trump, 76, conjured an image of a country "going to hell" amid soaring crime and inflation as he addressed the Right-wing America First Policy Institute, while dwelling yet again on his disputed claims of a stolen 2020 election. His former vice president, by contrast, urged Republicans "to offer a bold, positive agenda" to challenge "aggressive liberalism" in a speech to the Young America’s Foundation’s National Conservative Student Conference. "Some people may choose to focus on the past, but elections are about … [Read more...] about Mike Pence ups the ante in bid to be Donald Trump’s main challenger for the White House

Donald Trump vowed to "take back America" during a fiery speech in Wisconsin on Friday night. The former President was in the state to support Tim Michels, who he hopes will be the Republican candidate for the Wisconsin Governor election in November. Here are some of the main races to watch: Wisconsin The Republican primary for governor in Wisconsin is the latest proxy battle between former President Donald Trump and former Vice President Mike Pence, both of whom could run for president in 2024. Trump has backed Tim Michels, the owner of a construction company that loaned his campaign close to $12 million dollars. Pence, along with former Republican Gov. Scott Walker, endorsed former Lt. Gov. Rebecca Kleefisch.
Donald Trump is részt vett az abortuszellenes felvonuláson
Donald Trump amerikai elnök is részt vett a Washingtonban tartott éves abortuszellenes tüntetésen. Mike Pence alelnök 2017-ben vonult a tömeggel. A Menet az életért demonstrációt 1973 óta tartják, ekkor legalizálták az abortuszt az Egyesült Államokban. Donald Trump beszédet is mondott a több ezer résztvevőnek. [Read more...] about Donald Trump is részt vett az abortuszellenes felvonuláson
Közben a demokraták elbukni látszanak két kormányzóválasztást is.
