In the middle of last month, the extremist group known as the "Islamic State" issued a threat. The group announced "a blessed campaign to take revenge" after their leader was killed in a US military raid in Syria in February. At the same time, the extremist group, which controlled around a third of Syria and Iraq at the height of its powers, also called on supporters to take advantage of opportunities presented by the war in Ukraine . While "infidel" Western nations were preoccupied, "Islamic State" supporters could attack, the message suggested. Meanwhile, a magazine openly supporting al-Qaeda — another similar extremist organization that the IS group distanced itself from in 2013 — proposed that its supporters somehow get hold of weapons being handed out to civilians in Ukraine, then use them against Europeans. As yet the idea of launching terrorist attacks while the West is distracted by Ukraine does not appear to have caught on in Europe . The IS group has around a … [Read more...] about Will the ‘Islamic State’ benefit from the Ukraine war?

Ukraine war: Russia moving the ‘Terminator’ around city ahead of expected assault, says military expert
Russia has started moving an armoured fighting vehicle nicknamed the "Terminator" around a Ukrainian city which shows their "determination" to capture the area, a military expert has told Sky News. Justin Crump, a veteran British army tank commander, said Russia was "quite proud" of the vehicle, which is used to support other tanks and "suppress" enemy fire when launching assaults in urban areas. Russia is reported to be "bringing them in around Severodonetsk" in Ukraine - showing its "determination to assault that city". The BMPT-72 was developed by Russian machine company Uralvagonzavod and was built on the chassis of the T-72 battle tank. Putin uses terrifying Terminator war vehicles in bid to obliterate Brit missiles
Desperate Vladimir Putin has been forced to deploy 'Terminator' military vehicles in battle in Ukraine as Kyiv continues to obliterate invading Russian tanks with the help of British missiles. New video shows the much-vaunted armoured vehicles which are equipped with grenade launchers, anti-tank systems and small arms in the Donbas region in eastern Ukraine. The deployment of the BMPT Terminator, which are designed to support infantry units fighting in urban areas, comes as Russia's invasion of Ukraine takes a toll on Putin's main army tanks. The T-90M tank has suffered heavy losses as Ukrainian troops continue to obliterate them with rockets. Earlier this week, Ukraine said it had destroyed Russian tanks deep behind enemy lines in the Donbas region using British-made Brimstone missiles. In an effort to bolster their arsenal, a platoon of Terminator military vehicles were deployed and used for the first time in battle in the Donbas. The BMPTs - or tank support … [Read more...] about Putin uses terrifying Terminator war vehicles in bid to obliterate Brit missiles

FENERBAHCE are reportedly set to TERMINATE Mesut Ozil's contract following his exile from the first team. The Turkish giants suspended the World Cup winner last month following an alleged altercation with interim manager Ismail Kartal during a league match against Konyaspor. And the Super Lig club is in the process of ripping up the former Arsenal man's contract. When asked about reinstating Ozil to first-team duties, Fenerbache president Ali Koc said : "We do not have that plan at the moment. "This decision is not child's play. The most important thing is Fenerbahce." Fenerbache's seemingly imminent termination of Ozil's contract - which is set to expire in the summer of 2024 - comes amid interest in the German from Hull and Inter Miami. Inter - who are part-owned by Manchester United legend David Beckham - are looking to sign several big-name players for the 2022-23 MLS season. But Ozil's agent - Dr Erkut Sogut - recently revealed his client has no … [Read more...] about Fenerbahce ‘set to TERMINATE Mesut Ozil’s contract after boss row as Beckham’s Inter Miami & Hull chase ex-Arsenal star’
What future awaits ‘Islamic State’ after its leader’s death?
Abu Ibrahim al-Hashimi al-Qurayshi never left the house. He was the only high-ranking leader of the terrorist organization "Islamic State" (IS) who never released video or voice messages. He feared being detected in his nondescript house in Atmeh in the province of Idlib in northwestern Syria, not far from the border with Turkey. The region is dominated by the rival Islamist militia Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), an offshoot of al-Qaida, so the neighbors would surely never have guessed who the man next door actually was. He seems to have been planning an IS comeback. But the US secret services found him first. Even though his late predecessor Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi had also gone into hiding in the region, few had expected this of al-Qurayshi too — until a US military strike in early February, during which he reportedly blew himself up, killing several members of his family as well. What consequences could his death have. How significant is IS today? For years, IS has waged a … [Read more...] about What future awaits ‘Islamic State’ after its leader’s death?
Two-Card Monte: Why Mastercard And Visa Rarely Shut Down Scammers Who Are Ripping Off Consumers
Paul Paolucci, the top cop for one of the world’s biggest credit card companies, sure had some interesting friends. One made a fortune fronting for pornography websites that needed access to Mastercard’s and Visa’s payment networks. Paolucci, who oversaw Mastercard’s merchant fraud control, was photographed cavorting around the Las Vegas Hard Rock Hotel with him and a group of women in white corset minidresses. A second was a Lamborghini-driving e-commerce mogul with whom Paolucci used to celebrate family holidays. The mogul ended up in prison for a financial crime he committed, in part, using Mastercard’s network. An executive at a famously corrupt European bank claimed to have dined with Paolucci and gotten his help evading Mastercard’s regulations. It was Paolucci’s job to make sure that the banks and companies using Mastercard’s network were playing by the rules. He bent those rules himself by getting close to the very kinds of high-risk businesses he was supposed to be … [Read more...] about Two-Card Monte: Why Mastercard And Visa Rarely Shut Down Scammers Who Are Ripping Off Consumers
