It feels like Prince Harry and Meghan Markle ’s wedding was ages ago. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have since quit as working members of the Royal Family – a move dubbed ‘Megxit’ – and swapped their lives in the UK for a stint in Canada. They later moved to California and started a company, Archewell, inking content deals with Spotify and Netflix – with the latter now filming a documentary about the Invictus Games . Along the way, the couple welcomed two adorable children: Archie Harrison and Lilibet Diana . And who could ever forget the bombshell interview they gave to Oprah Winfrey in March 2021? So where exactly DID Prince Harry and Meghan Markle go on their honeymoon then? It’s arguably the best kept secret of the Royal Family – the Duke and Duchess Of Sussex somehow managed to leave the UK and fly off on their honeymoon without a single camera or ‘source’ getting wind of it. Harry and Meghan tied the knot on 19 May this year in St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle in front of the entire world. They made no secret of the fact they planned to put their royal commitments first and chose to delay their honeymoon, attending Prince Charles’ 70th birthday garden party on Tuesday 22 May, just three days after their wedding. It’s after this that they were whisked off on their honeymoon, returning in time for Trooping The Colour on Saturday 9 June 2018. So where did they spend these precious two weeks in-between? It was rumoured that they might be heading to the same Canadian luxury resort that the Queen and Prince Philip have previously enjoyed, but the … [Read more...] about Where did Prince Harry and Meghan Markle go on their honeymoon?
Not satisfied with marrying into the Royal Family and spiriting Prince Harry back to America, the Duchess of Sussex is now trying to commandeer the English language. I can reveal that the former actress has applied to trademark the word 'archetypes'. Meghan, 40, announced last month that her first series of podcasts for audio streaming giant Spotify would be called Archetypes. In the trailer, she vowed to 'dissect, explore and subvert the labels that try to hold women back'. She made the application at the United States Patent and Trademark Office last month. It covers the use of the word 'archetypes', which derives from ancient Greek and first entered into English usage around the 1540s. The dizzying list of goods and services involved are 'in the fields of cultural treatment of women and stereotypes facing women'. If you’ve already had a big wedding (with thousands of guests and a £300,000 dress no less) most people would be scrimping to get the cash to go on honeymoon. Not so for Harry and Meghan, though, and the world is pretty much their oyster. There has been much talk over where they’ll spend their honeymoon and where they’ll go, but there’s only one place that seems off limits – Jamaica. Meghan married her ex-husband Trevor Engelson in Jamaica in 2011, and she and Harry attended a wedding there in March 2017. It’s therefore perhaps not a massive surprise they won’t be going on honeymoon there. Instead, the couple are expected to visit Namibia for their romantic getaway. Reports claim they will stay at Hoanib Valley Camp in Kaokoland in the north-west of the country, which is ‘surrounded by mountains, sand dunes, and huge expanses of desert.’ The bookies certainly think this will happen, Betfair Spokesperson Katie Baylis said: ‘We’ve suspended betting on the … [Read more...] about Where are Harry and Meghan going on honeymoon?

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are among a host of royals attending a garden party to mark Prince Charles’ 70th birthday today. But, given Charles’ birthday is not until 14 November, why are they celebrating it with a garden soiree six months early? The garden party is being held by Charles and Camilla, Duchess Of Cornwall, to honour the work of The Prince Of Wales’ charities in his 70th year. Given a garden party can’t exactly take place in November – and Charles has got one heck of a lot of celebrating to do this year – the decision was made to stagger out the events and host the garden party in the summer. Members of the emergency services who were on the scene on the night of the terror attack, which killed 22 people and injured a further 59 , will also be in attendance. A minute’s silence was held at a garden party last year for the 22 victims who were killed and those who were injured when a suicide bomb was detonated after an Ariana Grande concert on … [Read more...] about Why is there a Buckingham Palace garden party for Prince Charles’ 70th birthday six months early?
