Meghan Markle asked her mum to get her ex husband to scrap a TV programme about their failed marriage, according to reports. Doria Ragland was asked by the now Duchess to speak to partner Trevor Engleson over his plans to launch a TV comedy, the Sun claims. It was reported last year that the TV producer Trevor was working on a "divorce comedy" centred around the royal family - perhaps drawing inspiration from his own experiences. Fox was said to be developing a pilot for the story, which centred around the following pitch: "Divorce is hard. Sharing custody is harder. "Sharing custody with the British Royal family when your wife marries a prince, in the unforgiving spotlight of London’s tabloid media, is next level." Fearing obvious comparisons to her marriage to Prince Harry, Meghan was heavily opposed to the comedy, especially as it planned to mock the royal romance on a weekly basis. Doria, who by all accounts is an adorable woman, is believed … [Read more...] about Meghan Markle’s ex-hubby cans comedy about their marriage after her mum Doria Ragland confronted him
The soon-to-arrive Baby Sussex was given an adorable nickname in honor of the country house Harry and Meghan escaped to last year. The Duke and Duchess's unborn child has been nicknamed 'Clive' by staff at Cliveden House in Berkshire where the royal couple stayed last year. Staff at the hotel - where Meghan Markle also stayed the night before her wedding - joke the child was conceived at the posh venue. After the former Suits star fell in love with the £500-a-night five-star hotel, she and Harry would regularly stay there last summer and autumn. A source told The Sun : “Harry and Meghan were always popping back to Cliveden for romantic stays after their wedding. “They spent a number of days there last summer and autumn. “Staff are joking that their baby is a Cliveden baby and if it’s a boy they should call him Clive, as they enjoyed their time so much there. “They often stayed in a very private cottage in the grounds, Spring Cottage and not many … [Read more...] about Meghan Markle and Harry’s baby ‘nicknamed after hotel where tot was conceived’
Who will be chosen as the godparents of Harry and Meghan's baby? Royal family members traditionally have a larger than average set of godparents. For example, Prince Louis has six godparents, Princess Charlotte has five, and Prince George has seven. Royals typically choose close friends for godparents instead of family members, which is why Prince Harry isn’t a godfather to his niece and nephews. We’ve rounded up our top contenders from most likely (the Mulroneys) to least (we'd love to see Nick Jonas as a royal godfather, but we're realistic). The inner circle: Jessica and Ben Mulroney Jessica and Ben Mulroney are a top choice for godparents. Close friend Jessica has been styling Meghan for years and helped out during her royal tour of Australia. Her husband, Ben Mulroney, is the son of former Canadian Prime Minister Brian Mulroney, so the couple have a suitably powerful pedigree too. The confidantes: Jake and Zoe … [Read more...] about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s baby: Who will be the royal baby’s godparents?
