Barcelona was originally a temporary escape from my 8-8 consulting job at KPMG in Melbourne to study a Masters in Refugee Law at Universidad Pompeu Fabra (I had ambitions to work for the UN). But after graduating, and with most of my worldly possessions still in Australia, I decided to give-in to the gastronomic temptations of the city and follow my true passion: food, and its power to unite and connect. I founded Papa Serra, a food experience and lifestyle brand hosting market tours, cooking classes, private dinners and other gastronomic events. During this adventure, EatWith Founder Guy Michlin got in touch and asked me to join him in bringing EatWith (an online platform of alternative dining experiences) to the world. I joined the startup and am now Director of Global Community overseeing chefs in over 100 cities around the world. Whilst this has been my professional focus for the last three years, personally I continued to grow the brand Papa … [Read more...] about ‘I’m trying to capture how people would cook if no-one was watching’

WITH I'm A Celeb starting in just a few days, anticipation is at an all time high... but unbelievably, not everyone is enthusiastic about the prospect of seeing Carol Vorderman eat a crocodile's bits. After The Sun revealed the final line-up for this year's show yesterday afternoon, Twitter gave its verdict - and it was as antsy as one of the show's infamously gruesome trials. While many people are delighted that there is so much "shower potential" thanks to former Strictly star Ola Jordan, newly slimmed-down Scarlett Moffatt and Lisa Snowdon (plus Vorders), others were left wondering just who would be landing in the jungle this weekend. One fan went as far as to brand the celebs signed up for the show as "absolutely chronic", with another slating them as "boring B-listers".However, producers' selection of lesser known faces might have been a genius move, with some people being coaxed to tune in for the first time ever. The inclusion of comedian Joel Dommett has also … [Read more...] about Fans divided over ‘B-list’ I’m A Celebrity line up… as Danny Baker continues to deny involvement

If I went to his house, he would feel like he wasn’t in control."John admitted when the series took them away from London, the presenting pair explored separately. That might be for the best, as John … [Read more...] about MasterChef’s John Torode reveals he’s not friends with co-star Gregg Wallace outside of the show

THERE have been some awful cooks on Celebrity MasterChef, but SINITTA is the only contestant who has nearly killed the judges. The former pop star’s cooking skills are so bad that GREGG WALLACE and JOHN TORODE even refused to eat some of her dishes.During the opening episode of the series, which begins tonight at 8pm on BBC1, Sinitta serves two raw meat dishes and an uncooked aubergine that Gregg describes as “terrifying”.He refuses to eat part of the meal to avoid catching salmonella or one of the other deadly bugs present in uncooked meats.Sinitta also prepares a pastry dish and a cod soup — but leaves the fish skin on.During one scene, John tells her: “Your aubergine is not very nice and the lamb tastes of just processed lamb”.Gregg adds about another dish: “That’s raw meat!
