Spotting the Easter eggs in a movie is all part of the fun of watching them, especially when it comes to Marvel movies - and Captain Marvel is no different. The latest MCU offering sees Brie Larson play the first lead female superhero in the Marvel franchise as Carol Danvers. Those familiar with the comic books will be well aware of the Captain Marvel who came before her, Mar-Vell. Unsurprisingly there's a few references to her predecessor, but there's a few other fun Easter eggs too. Here are a few Captain Marvel Easter eggs we've spotted. We'll add more as they crop up. Starforce Carol Danvers in the film is a member of the military unit called Starforce. This has it's beginning in the comics. A few members seen in the movie are from the comics such as Minn-Erva (Gemma Chan) and Korath (Djimon Hounsou). There was a clear turning point in 2012, where Marvel's post credits sequences became almost as important as the movies themselves. Avengers: Infinity War - Calling Captain Marvel (2018) Brie Larson’s arrival as Captain Marvel came in perhaps the worst circumstances imaginable, following the aftermath of Thanos’s Snap in Avengers: Infinity … [Read more...] about The 10 best Marvel post-credit sequences, ranked

Aunt May is happy Peter is Spider-Man Spider-Man: Homecoming ended with Aunt May walking in on Peter Parker and discovering his secret identity. Earlier in the film, Peter had revealed to Tony Stark that he'd decided to keep the news from her because he feared she'd freak out. Yet it seems in the sequel, the MCU version of Aunt May continues to differ with her older comic-book counterpart as Marisa Tomei's version is seen introducing Spider-Man at a charity event. Title: Marvel’s Spider-Man Platforms: PS4 (tested) Release Date: 7th September 2018 Rating: PEGI 16 After a short opening cut scene, it took all of 10 seconds for me to be grinning like an idiot, as I took my first swings through New York. The very act of moving in Spider-Man is without doubt a series high and possibly one the most satisfying in modern gaming, period. There is a huge array of moves available for players to move Spidey around the Big Apple with. It may come across quite daunting at first but it doesn't take long before our whipping around the city with ease. Stringing together a series of swings, leaps and dives in sequence is incredibly rewarding and does a brilliant job making you feel like you’ve slipped on the famous red and blue spandex for yourself. Sprinting to the top of the Empire State building and diving off, before slinging out a web at the last second never gets old. Actions like this are necessary as momentum plays a big part in … [Read more...] about Game review: Marvel’s Spider-Man
