Foreign Secretary Liz Truss will pledge that the UK will "do everything possible to ensure Ukraine wins the war and recovers". She will tell the Ukraine Recovery Conference in Switzerland today that the UK will support the embattled nation for the "long haul" and resist Russian President Vladimir Putin's invasion. But attempts to rebuild the area are made more challenging by Russia's ability to hit the capital with missiles as the Kremlin's forces slowly advance in the east. Ms Truss will use the conference in the city of Lugano to set out a vision to give both immediate and long-term support to Ukraine.
