Those who were able to obtain free tickets online began gathering at the concert and sports venue Thursday morning to honor the rapper and activist, born Ermias Asghedom, at the service organizers are calling "Nipsey Hussle's Celebration of Life." Daren B. RAPPER Nipsey Hussle will be remembered in a memorial service after he was killed in March 2019. But when is it being held and can you watch it in the UK? Here's the lowdown. When is Nipsey Hussle's funeral? Nipsey Hussle's memorial service is being held on Thursday at Los Angeles' Staples Center. Hussle's Celebration of Life is set to begin at 10 a.m. PT, which is 5pm in the UK, and will end at 12 p.m (7pm UK). Following the service, there will be a processional and the late rapper will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn cemetery in L.A. Complimentary tickets to the memorial service were released on April 9, 2019 and were almost instantly snapped up. The Los Angeles City Council is expected to change the name of a South L.A. intersection on Friday to honor late rapper Nipsey Hussle. Councilman Marqueece Harris-Dawson said he will officially submit a motion on Friday to rename the intersection of Crenshaw Boulevard and Slauson Avenue to "Nipsey Hussle Square." Nipsey Hussle, whose real name is Ermias Asghedom, had a song called "Crenshaw and Slauson (True Story)". A nearly 12-minute documentary-style music video for the song features real people from the Crenshaw neighborhood, where Nipsey Hussle grew up. His store, Marathon Clothing, is also located at this intersection. The Grammy-nominated rapper was shot, along with two other people, while standing outside of his store.Fans advocated for the intersection's name change and started a Change.org petition to urge the city council to submit the motion. That business-owner: rapper Nipsey Hussle. The deacon and the heavily-tattooed, bearded rapper stood in the ministry’s parking lot, hands on hips, and examined the wall for how they might better seal it. Brown didn’t listen to Hussle’s music, being more of a Miles Davis guy.
