Jose Mourniho says Manchester United are "confident" Sir Alex Ferguson will make a swift recovery following his brain haemorrhage. Sir Alex, 76, remains in Salford Royal Hospital after having emergency surgery on Saturday . At United's pre-match press conference, Mourinho did not reveal whether he had been to visit the club's former manager in hospital or if he spoken to him. He was born at his grandmother's home in Govan in Glasgow's south-west on 31 December 1941 and grew up in one of the city's tenements, which has since been demolished.
