Europe’s top clubs believe Raheem Sterling is ready to leave Manchester City this summer, with Chelsea among those weighing up a bid. Sterling has one year remaining on his City contract and, although the England international is yet to indicate his intention over his future, there is a growing feeling among top clubs that he will consider a move away. Manchester City are on the verge of securing a £42 million deal for Leeds United midfielder Kalvin Phillips . Premier League champions City thrashed out an agreement with Leeds on Friday over a transfer which could rise to £45 million after instalments, with midfielder Darko Gyabi moving to Elland Road in a separate deal. Pep Guardiola has been determined to sign Phillips this summer and is making the England international his second addition ahead of the 2022/23 campaign, after the £51m capture of Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund . Manchester City could raise more than £200 million through sales this year as the Premier League champions shake up their squad in the pursuit of more silverware. City have signed forwards Erling Haaland and Julian Alvarez for a combined £65m and are now expected to pursue a move for the £60m rated Leeds midfielder, Kalvin Phillips, as a replacement for the departed Fernandinho. They are also interested in Marc Cucurella , although Brighton are thought to want around £50m for the left back. It is shaping up to be another hefty outlay by City as manager Pep Guardiola eyes a fifth Premier League title in six seasons and Champions League glory but the club could yet finish the summer by making a healthy profit in the transfer window. Manchester City are closely monitoring Brighton and Hove Albion left-back Marc Cucurella. The 23-year-old joined Brighton last summer and has hugely impressed City manager Pep Guardiola. He scored his first Premier League goal earlier this month in the 4-0 rout of Manchester United at the Amex Stadium. Brighton accept that the Spain international – he has played once for his country so far - will leave the club sooner rather than later but are hoping to hold onto Cucurella for at least one more season. A fee of £30million has been mooted for the attacking defender who joined Brighton from Getafe for £15.4million. The left-back position has been problematic for City with Benjamin Mendy unavailable after being suspended as he awaits trial on rape charges. Manchester United will be told they have to pay around £130 million if Erik ten Hag wants to sign Antony and Lisandro Martinez from his former club Ajax. The duo have emerged as targets for United, who have still to complete their first summer signing, despite edging closer to the arrival of Frenkie de Jong from Barcelona . Brazilian winger Antony and Argentine centre-half Martinez also feature on their former manager’s wish list although, unlike Barcelona, the Dutch club are under no pressure to sell either player. Ajax value Antony, 22, at £70-80 million, and Martinez, 24, at £45-50 million.
