6 May 2018 • 3:24pm Auto update On Off 3:24PM Full time: Manchester City 0 Huddersfield Town 0 That's it! Huddersfield have held on for a draw, a really gutsy effort, not just in that they defended smartly but that they pushed back at City, too. The first half was quite even, Town getting a long way up the pitch. The second half, sure, was more backs to the wall stuff, but City didn't have all that many chances. Well done to Huddersfield, who have given their survival chances an unexpected boost. We turn now to the Title celebrations, and our worthy champions. 3:21PM 90+ mins And that might be the lot! After a long spell of possession, it's worked inside from Jesus, Otamendi curls it at goal.... wide. 3:20PM 90 mins Nearly a sensational end! Huddersfield's sole attack this half as far as I can recall, Scott Malone nicks the ball off Walker, hares towards goal and shoots. Ederson parries. Would have been a hilarious outcome. … [Read more...] about Manchester City vs Huddersfield Town, Premier League: live

Cristiano Ronaldo dominated Real Madrid's Champions League victory over Juventus on Tuesday night with his instinctive prod and incredible overhead kick to leave Manchester United supporters feeling wistful. Another man from United's past left Reds feeling furious, though. Referee Cuneyt Cakir's decision to flourish a second yellow card at Paulo Dybala was an incontestable decision. Dybala naively raised his boot to challenge Dani Carvajal for an aerial ball, injuring the Real full-back and acknowledging the rash challenge before he was predictably shown yellow and then red by Cakir. Yet five years ago, Cakir opted for a straight red for an identical foul by Nani in United's 2-1 defeat to Real. United were a goal up in the round-of-16 second leg at the time and the astonishing decision to dismiss Nani proved pivotal. Within 13 minutes of his departure Madrid had flipped the scoreline from 1-0 to 1-2. Sir Alex Ferguson, mindful it was his last European tie, was so apoplectic with Cakir … [Read more...] about Manchester United fans furious with referee during Juventus vs Real Madrid
In Cardiff 10 months ago, Juventus looked to dethrone Real Madrid, the kings of Europe, tasked with resisting Cristiano Ronaldo’s insatiable appetite for Champions League goals while Paulo Dybala, Mario Mandzukic and Gonzalo Higuain set about finding gaps in a leaky Madrid defence. Ronaldo proved irresistible and Sergio Ramos and Raphael Varane corked all the holes. Juve now get another chance to show what they’ve learned against a Madrid side which is actually misfiring, with a defence which is actually leaky and a midfield whose best days do look behind them. Ronaldo, though, is still as hungry as ever. Bayern Munich will, barring an upset, be crowned German champions again on the weekend with victory over Augsburg, such is their dominance of the Bundesliga, and they are expected to carry that into the Champions League. Bayern are without a European title since Jupp Heynkes was last in charge but they are perhaps the most well positioned now to go … [Read more...] about Juventus vs Real Madrid, Sevilla vs Bayern Munich: Champions League quarter-finals LIVE
