Lyon midfielder Tanguy Ndombele has refused to rule out leaving Lyon in the summer transfer window. The France international has attracted attention from the likes of Tottenham , Manchester United and Manchester City with his performances in Ligue 1. Lyon reportedly value the 22-year-old at £70million, but are in no rush to cash-in on their prized asset having received a financial boost by sealing Champions League qualification for the second successive season. Matthijs De Ligt will again take centre stage on Tuesday night when Tottenham Hotspur host Ajax in the first leg of the Championship semi-finals in London. The 19-year-old's reputation is already sky high ahead of the fixture but will likely go up a few notches as Ajax look to put one foot in the final of the Champions League. This year's Champions League may be over for Man City and Manchester United after defeats in the quarter-finals, but things could be about to change in the elite European competition. Reports in Holland suggest that a new format has been proposed by Europe's elite clubs, and it includes four Champions League groups of eight clubs each, meaning extra revenue for every club. The top four teams will qualify for the knock-out phase, the bottom club would be 'relegated' and the remainder going into the Europa League. Another key change would see matches played on some weekends. Currently only the final is played on a Saturday. There is also talk about granting wild cards to clubs of historical importance in European football. That would see the likes of Celtic granted a granted a spot in the new format.
