0 Have your say GOOD quality food, hard working staff and a focus on fresh ingredients has seen an independent fish and chip shop shoot up the online ratings – taking the top spot in Hampshire. Fisherman’s Kitchen, in Clarendon Road, Southsea, opened last August. Since then it has had rave reviews online and is currently number one for fish and chips in the county on TripAdvisor, an online review website. It is also currently the seventh best rated restaurant in Portsmouth (out of 526) on the same site. Owner Ian Clarke, from Southsea, said: ‘We have had some great reviews. We have managed to claw our way up to number one and we are in the top 10 restaurants for Portsmouth, which I know from past experience is a really hard thing to do. ‘It has been a hard journey but we are very pleased that people have welcomed what we are trying to do. AVIOS' customers will be switched to the British Airways' Executive Club as the airmiles scheme closes this summer. But, how much are your Avios points worth and how will this closure affect your air miles? What is the Avios reward scheme? The Avios reward scheme allows travellers to earn points towards buying flights by spending their money with hundreds of different brands. At the end of July the scheme will be closing and all Avios customers will be transferred onto the BA executive club scheme. THE Avios reward scheme is to close this summer, it has been announced today. Customers with the scheme will be switched to British Airways Executive Club instead. The scheme is writing to its customers via email and letter letting them know about the forthcoming changes, with balances moved across to the airline's reward programme by the end of July. It says the changes are happening to "simplify" the programme and "improve" the way customer can collect and spend their points. Members can earn Avios points when spending at various different shops, which they can then use to purchase flights. And because of the changes, customers will be now be able to collect and spend their points with an extra 11 airlines including LATAM, Malaysian, S7, Royal Jordanian, American Airlines, Cathay Pacific, Qantas, Finnair, Qatar, and Japan Airlines, Air Italy and Alaska.
