Alex Beresford made his big return to Good Morning Britain , ten days after he was last seen on the show in a fiery row with Piers Morgan that saw Piers storm off. Weather presenter Alex, 40, had challenged Piers on his "trashing" of Meghan Markle following her interview with Oprah Winfrey alongside husband Prince Harry . Meghan said she felt suicidal while pregnant with Archie, and Piers said he "didn't believe a word" of what she was saying - with his remarks sparking a record-breaking number of Ofcom complaints . He marched off the set saying "I am not having this" as Alex - branded him "diabolical" before quitting his role as host that night. On Friday morning, Alex marked his comeback as he tweeted: "Good morning x" to his 252,000 followers. One fan replied: "Alex good to see you back mate ..good luck to you...have a good day. Mate". "Morning have a fantastic day, ignore haters they're just a bit sad," added another. Roger Federer makes winning return after 13 months out with gutsy three-set victory over Dan Evans
“For me, tennis is like riding a bike.” So said Roger Federer at the weekend, and his first match back found him in fine, freewheeling form. We saw hints of fatigue, but there was also plenty of his old, sumptuous shotmaking on show as he overcame Dan Evans in three sets: 7-6, 3-6, 7-5. N obody had been quite sure what to expect of Federer’s first match since the 2020 Australian Open, 405 days ago. He has undergone two keyhole operations on his right knee since then, and celebrated his 39th birthday. Could he really come out and move with his old panther-like grace? The answer, for the most part, was yes. We might have seen a couple of uncharacteristic flubs – which Federer actually seemed to find funny. But there were many more moments of genius, including one backhand winner – whipped up and over the net from the shortest and most awkward of distances – which no-one else would have had the audacity or hand skills to pull off. On a blustery evening in the desert city of Doha, … [Read more...] about Roger Federer makes winning return after 13 months out with gutsy three-set victory over Dan Evans
Tiger Woods can make ANOTHER stunning sporting return after horror car crash, says Paige Spiranac
TIGER WOODS could emulate his own stunning comeback of 2019 and return to golf after his horror car crash, Paige Spiranac has claimed. The YouTube golf star believes the American, 45, has it in him to overcome the shattered ankle and multiple leg breaks he suffered in a car crash last month . After undergoing emergency surgery in California, he is not expected to be able to walk properly for another three months . But Woods' amazing comeback from major back surgery to win the 2019 Masters means he cannot be counted out for more heroics on the course, according to Spiranac. The 27-year-old told her Playing A Round podcast: "You look at everyone who counted him out and then he won the 2019 Masters and it was like the comeback of the century. "So if anyone can do it, Tiger can do it. "You’re not going to know until we see him again and then we’ll know that he is coming back or not. "I think that this question was getting a lot of heat, and of course it’s the … [Read more...] about Tiger Woods can make ANOTHER stunning sporting return after horror car crash, says Paige Spiranac

Andy Murray smashes racket as Euro comeback tour ends with straight-sets defeat to Andrey Rublev
ANGRY Andy Murray smashed a racket beyond repair and slammed his display on-court as his European odyssey ended. After playing in consecutive tournaments in Italy and France, the Scot departed Holland last night following a 7-5 6-2 defeat to world No.8 Andrey Rublev. Though there were positives he could take away from this - notably his improved movement - the former world No.1 was humbled by relentless Rublev in the second round of the ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament in Rotterdam. Muzza produced two double faults in the 11th game of the first set. And then received a code violation from the umpire when he mangled his racket on the ground in a rage. The 33-year-old kept moaning as the match slipped away from him in the second set, muttering under his breath he was 'so underprepared for this' and then telling his coach Jamie Delgado he was being 'very quiet'. This was his second defeat out of three matches against top-10 players since the 2017 French Open final … [Read more...] about Andy Murray smashes racket as Euro comeback tour ends with straight-sets defeat to Andrey Rublev
