President Joe Biden shared Monday that he is “concerned” about China’s reaction to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s (D-CA) visit to Taiwan . The president discussed the recent trip during a conversation with reporters Monday morning ahead of his visit to Kentucky to meet with families affected by flooding. “I’m not worried but I’m concerned that they’re moving as much as they are,” said Biden. “But I don’t think they’re going to do anything more than they are.” Pelosi’s visit to offer U.S. assurances of support for Taiwan’s democracy roused the ire of China, prompting Beijing to schedule live-fire military drills last week that continued into Monday , reported Reuters. Attorney Alan Dershowitz, the outspoken Democrat who defended President Trump during the Senate impeachment trial, predicts that the president will prevail in his Pennsylvania lawsuit. Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito’s order to Pennsylvania requiring the state to segregate ballots received after 8:00 p.m. November 3 is being seen as a hint that the highest court in the country may be willing to accept a case stemming from the election in that state. Harvard law professor Alan Dershowitz on Monday slammed Congresswoman Maxine Waters’ (D-CA) comments about activists needing to “get more confrontational” if the jury in the George Floyd trial did not find officer Derrick Chauvin guilty in Floyd’s death.
