DETECTIVE Nicola Floss looks arresting after being crowned Miss Voluptuous England in the UK’s only plus-size pageant. Nicola, 31, went all girls in blue in a sparkly gown at the virtual contest. The Herts cop said: “I’m challenging limits within the beauty world.” She added: "The message is huge, you cannot miss it. “I didn't tell my colleagues, I just turned up to work in it as a bit of a reveal and they were so supportive of it. “I work hard at my day job and I work just as hard in terms of sharing my body confidence message. “Driving around, I get lots of thumbs up. People toot positively and I get stopped by people asking what I do. “The message is getting through to young people too which is so, so important." MUMS have hit out at Marks and Spencer over the name of their new jeans, claiming it’s making them not want to wear them. While the high-street store is usually a hit with parents, it seems they’ve taken umbridge over the new ‘mom’ jeans on sale. M&S shared a snap on Facebook of a woman modelling the new style, which costs £39.50, but shoppers criticised everything from the colour to the name. Uploading the snap on social media, the retail giant said: “Tuesday morning strolls in neutral tones and our trusty mom jeans.” The trousers, which come in six different colours, are described as “Mom fit is high on the waist, slim at the hips and slightly tapered through the leg”. But the name, and spelling, didn’t go down well online, with the snap racking up hundreds of disgruntled comments, with people pointing out white might not be the best colour for mums. PARENTS and grandparents will always have a wall, table or shelf dedicated to family pictures - with weddings, babies and graduation often taking the top spot. But one woman discovered she'd been "bumped" from her mum's proud photo display, only to be hit with a brutal explanation from her unsympathetic mum. Rachel Frost, from America, shared the exchange on TikTok and was frankly gobsmacked after inspecting her mum's collection of framed snaps. There were snaps from some key milestones over the years, including weddings and many of her grandchildren, so Rachel asked her mum why she wasn't to be seen.
