THIS is the gloomy, damp ruin this year’s I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! contestants will call home for the next three weeks. The 12 campmates - including Sir Mo Farah, Beverley Callard and Vernon Kay - will eat, sleep, wash and compete in Gwrych Castle . ITV bosses took the drastic decision to swap the usual jungle in Murwillumbah, New South Wales, for the 19th century building, in North Wales, because of Covid-19. Their time will be spent between four main areas - the washroom, boiler room, and living and sleeping quarters. The living area has a giant fire pit in the middle of it, where they will try to stay warm and also cook meals if they manage to get stars in the show’s trials. It features logs around the fire to sit on, as well as a giant wooden door where Ant and Dec will appear to announce who is taking part in trials, or going home. The giant doors lead to a long, intimidating staircase into the depths of the castle - including the … [Read more...] about I’m A Celebrity 2020: First look inside haunted Gwrych Castle as The Sun goes behind the scenes in Wales

How Ellie Goulding hid pregnancy for seven months by wearing husband’s coat
Ellie Goulding waited until she was seven months pregnant to reveal her pregnancy to fans. Now she has shared just how she hid away her bump from prying eyes, even when venturing out in public. Appearing on Sunday Brunch when asked by host Tim Lovejoy how she was enjoying being pregnant, the singer laughed: “It’s alright. It’s different.” Ellie admitted it “wasn’t that hard” to keep the pregnancy a secret, because nobody was going out during lockdown. She then explained her neat solution. She said: “I stole my husband’s coat for about six months, but that was really just in the shops. I didn’t go anywhere else.” Ellie found another way to disguise her bump on The Graham Norton Show on Friday night. This time she wore a huge purple dress to hide her figure, laughing: “There is a baby under here somewhere!” Before her pregnancy announcement, the hitmaker hadn't been pictured in public since August last year. Rishi Sunak to hail Budget ‘big bang’ to lure tech giants to London market
Rishi Sunak, the chancellor, will this week welcome a report that will call for major reforms to the London stock market's listings regime in a bid to encourage more technology 'unicorns' to go public in the UK. Sky News has learnt that a review headed by Lord Hill, a former EU commissioner, will recommend allowing tech entrepreneurs to retain greater control of their companies by formalising the creation of dual-class share structures. Lord Hill's review will be published on Wednesday, alongside the Budget , according to insiders. One source said on Monday that Lord Hill had considered calling for the creation of a new high-growth segment on the London Stock Exchange to act as a focal point for tech companies with listing aspirations, although it was unclear whether this would be included in his final report. Mr Sunak commissioned the report in November, arguing that the UK's departure from the European Union at the end of last year would give it greater freedom … [Read more...] about Rishi Sunak to hail Budget ‘big bang’ to lure tech giants to London market

"These little a**holes brag about the fact they covered 'Fix You' from Coldplay, this is blasphemy," he said. "For this you will be vacationing in North Korea for the next 20 years!" Alexei Navalny: ‘Psychological torture and self-isolation’ inside Putin critic’s Russian prison
Barring the golden domes of its church, Correctional Facility No 2 (IK-2) in the town of Pokrov, 60 miles east of Moscow, is utterly unprepossessing. Corrugated iron fencing topped with barbed wire and punctuated by watchtowers surround a cluster of buildings in various shades of grey. Typical of Russia 's penal colonies and home for the foreseeable to the country's most famous political prisoner. "No one is going to beat or torture Navalny but the administration will try to isolate him from the other prisoners and minimise all contacts," says Vladimir Pereverzin, a former manager at oil firm Yukos, who served just over seven years in Russia's penal colony system, some of it in the Vladimir region. "The living conditions were awful," he says. "The windows were in a terrible state, snow would come into the rooms. It was a while ago but even if they've renovated doesn't mean it'll be easier to live there."
