Coleen Rooney enjoys pamper session with fellow WAGs in plush £20m Cheshire home
Coleen Rooney enjoyed a luxury pamper session with some fellow WAGs earlier this month. The mum-of-four joined Annie Walker, wife of Man City star Kyle Walker, and Ela Brown, wife of retired footballer Michael Brown, to test out some revolutionary skincare treatments in the comfort of one of their homes. Coleen, 35, had originally planned to have her treatment alone home, but made a night of it when pal Ela hosted a girly night in at her fancy Cheshire home. The trio tried out Liverpool-based company Crystal Clear Skincare's brand new Skinstorm facial, as they enjoyed a catch-up during their pamper session. With plenty of room in Ela's spacious living room, the skincare company set out three therapy beds to create a salon experience - with Sharon Hilditch MBE, founder of Crystal Clear, working her magic on Coleen. House on sale for $420,000 seems normal… until you see the toilet on the (carpeted) stairs
Oh, look a nice three-bed family home in Newtown, Pennsylvania, on sale for $420,000. Let’s click through the photos. Ooh, a cute kitchen with wood detailing. Fireplace in the living room, lovely. Military uniform hanging up in an otherwise empty room, a bit odd, but fine. A loft. A basement with a mysterious wooden door. Three bedrooms. Wait. Wait a minute. What is that ? Why is it there ? Yes, friends, that is indeed a toilet in the middle of a staircase. And yes, that staircase is indeed carpeted. We have a lot of questions. Why would you install a toilet in the middle of a staircase, with no walls or coverings to shield you from your housemates? Why would you make a hole in the carpet to add this toilet, rather than simply ripping it up and sticking to a more easil wiped down surface? And, actually, can we go back to the tiny door in the basement? Where does that lead? Alas, we do not have answers to any of these questions. Instead, the listing … [Read more...] about House on sale for $420,000 seems normal… until you see the toilet on the (carpeted) stairs
Crossrail house price hotspots: Reading, Maidenhead and Slough are set to reap the benefits from Elizabeth Line opening
Crossrail may be billions of pounds over budget and three-and-a-half years late but it's finally ready to roll. This extraordinary feat of engineering is due to be put into service on Tuesday, when it will adopt its correct title of the Elizabeth Line. The Queen made a surprise visit to Paddington station this week and officially opened the line. On the line: The Thames flows through Maidenhead, which will now enjoy a direct link to Central London thanks to its new Crossrail station Linking Shenfield and Abbey Wood in the east with Heathrow and Reading to the west of the capital, it will bind together existing commuter railways, accelerating cross-city travel and relieving overcrowding on the London Underground — particularly the often hellish Central Line. Commuters' journey times will be slashed; Reading to London Liverpool Street, for example, will take under an hour. RELATED ARTICLES Previous 1 Next Back to school! Trump is addressing the NRA on Friday. Here’s what Ronald Reagan told the NRA in 1983
Ronald Reagan was the last sitting president to speak at the National Rifle Association ' s annual meeting, addressing its 112th gathering in May 1983, during the third year of his first term—and a bit more than two years after he was shot in an assassination attempt. Abolishing tax-free shopping would deal ‘hammer blow’ to fashion industry, brands warn
Rishi Sunak is facing renewed pressure to U-Turn on a planned crackdown on VAT-free shopping for tourists as some of Britain's best-known brands warned the move would prove to be a "hammer blow". Fashion and luxury brands including Ted Baker, The White Company and Paul Smith have this weekend written to the Chancellor urging him to row back on a decision to end tax-free shopping in Britain . The move , they said, would make the UK "the least attractive shopping destination in Europe" and come at a time when they could "ill afford" the hit. "International shoppers will instead choose to spend their money in EU destinations where tax-free purchases are still available… We urge the Chancellor to reverse his decision, which is bad for business and bad for the Treasury’s own coffers." In the open letter to the Chancellor, the 16 brands, which also included Smythson, Rupert Sanderson and Hackett, said: "Pulling up the drawbridge to tourists is no way to achieve a Global … [Read more...] about Abolishing tax-free shopping would deal ‘hammer blow’ to fashion industry, brands warn
