Anne Heche ‘stable’ and ‘expected to pull through’ after car crash in LA
Actress Anne Heche is in a "stable" condition following a crash in Los Angeles that saw her car burst into flames, her spokesperson has said. Reports surfaced on Saturday that suggested she had been driving at speed down an LA street before crashing her car into a building and suffering severe burns. According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, the crash in the Mar Vista area of the city sparked a "heavy fire", which was later put out after an hour. Crews took the driver to hospital with "critical injuries. Heche's spokesperson appears to have confirmed it was her in the incident, saying: "Anne is currently in a stable condition. "Her family and friends ask for your thoughts and prayers and to respect her privacy during this difficult time." Anne Heche’s exes give updates on her condition after horrific car accident
Anne Heche is said to be in a stable condition after being involved in a horrifying car accident on Friday – with two of her exes giving an update on her condition. The 53-year-old American actress was rushed to hospital suffering from severe burns after her car struck two buildings and ignited a fire in a Los Angeles home. The Ally McBeal actress was intubated as part of her treatment and had been reported as suffering from ‘severe’ injuries following the shocking incident. Now reports have said the star – who dated Ellen DeGeneres in the 1990s – is in a stable condition, while some close to her say she is expected to recover. Joseph Wakeley was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh after the accident on Millerhill Road at about 09:00 on Thursday. He died on Saturday afternoon. The family of Mr Wakeley, who lived in Edinburgh, have described him as "a loving son, father and brother". The driver of the car was not injured. Sgt Paul Ewing of Police Scotland's Road Policing Unit said: "Our thoughts are with Joseph's family and friends at this difficult time. "Our inquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and I would urge anyone who may have information who has not yet spoken to an officer to get in touch."
