THE Premier League's involvement in Europe next season has been confirmed after a dramatic final day. Tottenham joined title winners Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea in the Champions League. But, unfortunately for Manchester United and Arsenal fans, they will be tuning in on Thursday nights instead. The two former heavyweights of English football are in the Europa League next term following final-day drama. City and Liverpool had guaranteed themselves spots in the Champions League already - and their focus today was pipping the other to the title before the Reds try to lift ol' Big Ears next weekend. GARETH BALE failed to make the Real Madrid squad in the La Liga champions' final home game of the season and didn't say goodbye to fans. Carlo Ancelotti's side faced Real Betis with the match ending goalless but notably Bale was denied the chance to say farewell to the Real Madrid crowd. The Welshman, 32, didn't make the 23-man matchday squad and was missing when his team-mates headed to the middle of the pitch after the final whistle to thank those in the Santiago Bernabeu. Supporters got the chance to say goodbye to Marcelo who is also expected to depart but despite winning three league titles and four Champions League's Bale was snubbed of a farewell. Bale's contract ends this summer with him all set to leave the club. Jack Harrison is one of the many names on Newcastle United ’s list of transfer targets this summer, but he will be tougher to get hold of after Leeds United stayed in the Premier League on the final day of the season. The 25-year-old has scored eight goals in each of Leeds’ two Premier League seasons since promotion from the Championship in 2020, taking to life in the top flight impressively. He has caught the attention of Newcastle, who the Telegraph report are likely to make a bid for him over the summer transfer window. West Ham are interested in signing Manchester United ’s Jesse Lingard on a free transfer this summer. Lingard, 29, is out of contract at Old Trafford and will not be putting pen to paper on a new deal. The Englishman hardly played for United this season, making just 16 appearances in the Premier League. However, according to Sky Sports , West Ham have made initial enquiries to Lingard’s representatives over a summer move. Hammers boss David Moyes will be keen to secure the signing of Lingard who performed well in east London during a loan spell last year, when he scored nine goals in 16 matches.
