Hundreds of people paid tribute to much-loved BBC presenter Dianne Oxberry at a moving memorial service in Manchester today. Friends, family, colleagues and members of the public filled Manchester Cathedral to pay their respects and celebrate Dianne's life and career. The region was left shocked and devastated when the North West Tonight weather presenters' death was announced earlier this year. Dianne tragically died on January 10 at the Christie Hospital following what was described as a "short illness." Her husband Ian Hindle, later revealed she had been suffering with ovarian cancer. The mother-of-two was 51. Thursday's memorial was a chance for Dianne's esteemed colleagues and members of the public to come together and remember a presenter "adored" by the region. A memorial football match will be held in honour of a young man who was killed in a car crash. Samuel Myatt died in hospital on January 13 after his car hit a tree off the A518 between Haughton and Stafford. Last month family and friends of 'lovely' Sam, of Gnosall, paid tribute to the 20-year-old and celebrated his life at a funeral service. And this weekend, a charity football match is to take place between former players of both AFC Gnosall and Eccleshall FC, with all the proceeds going towards a permanent memorial for Sam. The match kicks off at 11am on Saturday, March 2, at Gnosall St Lawrence School with tickets priced at £10 for adults and free for children. The 47-year-old entrepreneur has a number of business interests, one of which is selling environmentally friendly coffins which can be finished off with an all-over printed image relating to the deceased.Desy, who started the business in 2014, explained: “When the recession hit the building trade work as a bricklayer was hard to come by.“One of the last jobs I was working on was an extension at a coffin factory. I’d never pictured coffins being produced at this rate, it was like a conveyor belt. A tribute to Taylor Tolley will be held this afternoon close to his family home in Bridlington. Friends and family are planning to release balloons in his memory from the fields in Gypsey Road at 4pm. Taylor died after he was hit by a car while crossing Brett Street on Friday evening.
