Kate Moss says ‘I had to tell the truth’ as she breaks silence on Johnny Depp trial
Kate Moss has broken her silence on her part in Johnny Depp 's libel trial against Amber Heard and claimed that she 'had to say the truth.' The 48-year-old supermodel appeared as a witness in her ex-partner's multimillion-dollar US lawsuit against Heard, 36, after the Aquaman actress mentioned a rumour Kate was once pushed down the stairs by Depp while the two were in a relationship. Depp won the lawsuit against Heard last month after a jury ruled her 2018 article in the Washington Post was defamatory. During her appearance on BBC Radio 4’s Desert Island Discs, Moss was asked about her defence of Depp by presenter Lauren Laverne. Kate told the host: “I know the truth about Johnny. I know he never kicked me down the stairs. "I had to say that truth," she added. The widely shared footage, taken inside the stadium, shows the AgustaWestland AW169 climbing normally for about 40 seconds, before it pauses and goes into a downward spin. Aviation expert David Learmount said the video showed the aircraft completed an "awkward" take-off without issue before getting into difficulty.
