A lucky ticket-holder has scooped a £9.5m National Lottery jackpot. Camelot, operator of The National Lottery, announced the £9,561,853 Jackpot prize from the Lotto draw on 7 April 2018 had been claimed. The prize had previously remained outstanding from a ticket bought in South Kesteven, Lincolnshire. Unless the winner of a major National Lottery prize opts to take full publicity and signs an agreement to that effect, no further information can be released about their win. Corine Pendry won Isabel Hospice’s bumper lottery prize of £1,000 but her cheque went to the address she had signed up with eight years ago – when she lived in Welwyn. With no forwarding address, the cheque came back to the hospice with a “return to sender” notice. The hospice’s social media team sprang into action with tweets and Facebook posts. Corine, who had since moved to Hitchin, was eventually tracked down by her friend Victoria Wells from Welwyn. A self-confessed "white van man" has revealed how he celebrated Britain's biggest ever lottery win with a bacon roll. Property maintenance man Nigel Page, 43, who won a £56 million share of Friday's EuroMillions jackpot, breakfasted on bacon butties at his local cafe with his partner Justine Laycock, 41, and their children. The couple, who live near Cirencester, Gloucestershire, in a three-bedroom semi, both plan to give up their jobs. Mr Page, who runs his own business, told a press conference: "I'm a white van man, so I'm going to treat myself to a new car. I haven't had a car to myself for 10 years. The finance is due to run out on the van. "I'll probably go a little more upmarket now. A BMW X5 or a Range Rover - just to get the kids and the dog in."
