The agony I’ve had to endure, it’s torture in the truest sense of the word - mental and physical.” That was just one of the entries in the four hidden journals of Bristol dad Adrian Watts, who detailed months of pain, heartbreak and suicide attempts before he died. Adrian was 43 years old when he passed away in Southmead Hospital in excruciating pain, his body riddled with terminal cancer. Between the months of December and February, he recorded his treatment in HMP Bristol - where he was a serving prisoner - until he could no longer hold a pen. A fat Plymouth pug who had an unhealthy love affair with cheese has become a mega slimmer. Former roly-poly Pug Pollyanna has been named a runner up in the UK’s largest pet slimming competition after shedding 12 per cent of her bodyweight. The once-obese pooch weighed-in at a whopping 11kg (1st 10lb) – nearly 50 per cent over her ideal weight (7.5kg/1st 3lb). After PDSA vets warned that her health was at serious risk from her excess pounds, her owners began pounding the streets with her and cutting back on the excess food. She’s now lost 2.5 inches from her waist and 2 inches from her chest, wowing Pet Fit Club judges with her trimmer and healthier 9.7kg (1st 7lb) figure – although she still has a few inches to shed.
