According to information leaked from Ticketmaster in the US, Weekends With Adele will be held at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace from November 18 and end on February 24. Third victim of lightning strike near White House identified as 29-year-old L.A. bank executive Brooks Lambertson
A 29-year-old Los Angeles bank executive was one of three people killed last week when lightning struck in a park across from the White House, his employer said. Brooks Lambertson, a vice president for City National Bank, was in Washington, D.C., on business when he was hit by lightning Thursday night in Lafayette Park, the bank said in a statement Saturday. A husband and wife from Wisconsin celebrating their 56th wedding anniversary were also struck by lightning and died. Lambertson managed sponsorships for the bank and previously worked in marketing for the Los Angeles Clippers, according to City National's statement. He lived in downtown LA. "Brooks was an incredible young man who will be remembered for his generosity, kindness and unwavering positivity," the statement said. "His sudden loss is devastating for all who knew him, and his family, friends and colleagues appreciate the thoughts and prayers that have poured in from around the country." People who live in Kenilworth, Southdowns and other pockets of south Baton Rouge grappled Tuesday with wanting to keep their neighborhoods quiet and pedestrian-friendly but also looking to fight fewer traffic jams and find better access to the interstate highways. The conundrum was at the heart of the discussion Tuesday when Mayor-President Sharon Weston Broome and her staff pitched her proposed Better Transportation and Roads tax to a crowd of more than 50 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church. The East Baton Rouge Parish Metro Council is expected to vote Sept. 13 on whether to place the 5-mill property tax proposal on ballots in November, and Broome is holding public meetings in each Metro Council district until then as she tries to rally support around her first major tax initiative as mayor-president.
