She's more used to jetting off to Belfast to film award-winning BBC One series Line of Duty but for Vicky McClure's next primetime appearance for the Beeb she'll be coming home to Nottingham. The 35-year-old, who lives in Toton with her fiance Jonny Owen, will start filming a two part documentary back in the county at the end of June. Over the course of three months the Bafta-winning actress will join forces with the University of Nottingham and the UK's leading scientists as she discovers the physical and emotion effects of music on the brain and meets people with dementia and their families as she creates a choir of people living with the condition. At the end of the choir will sing in front of thousands of people. Line of Duty star Craig Parkinson says playing the Old Bill in the hit BBC drama has turned him into an OAPs’ heartthrob. The actor, who played bent cop Matthew “Dot” Cottan, is often spotted by pensioners in the supermarket. Craig, 42, said: “People still stop me in Sainsbury’s and say, ‘Ooh, you’re a nasty bit of work’. “It tends to be older women in their sixties and seventies who then, instead of berating me, start mildly flirting. Line of Duty writer Jed Mercurio has revealed a few details about the upcoming fifth season of the BBC One police drama. The writer recently teased what’s to come from the show, which stars Nottingham’s own Vicky McClure as DC Kate Fleming, saying that fans should expect to see some “fresh” storylines, new characters and a lot that they’ve never seen before. BALTIMORE COUNTY, Md. -- A Baltimore County police officer has died after she was shot Monday afternoon while responding to a report of a suspicious vehicle in suburban Perry Hall, according to Maryland Governor Larry Hogan. A Baltimore County Police Department spokesperson confirmed the officer would have been a four-year veteran of the force in July. Shawn Vinson, the police department's spokesman, said law enforcement agencies are searching for at least one suspect who is possibly still armed. The officer hasn't been identified and an official cause of death won't be determined until an autopsy is performed. "She was doing her job today ... and was critically injured from this altercation," Vinson said. "We are talking to witnesses and trying to find out what happened."
