A SECOND schoolkid was approached in an abduction attempt just 500 metres from where a Line of Duty star's son was also targeted. The boy was told to go with a hooded man in a mask as played in Kelsey Park in Beckenham, South East London, on Friday. Thankfully he spooked the would-be kidnapper by shouting out to a pal - causing the suspect to flee. The boy, who was unharmed, later said he saw the masked man escape in a black van, the Evening Standard reports. Clare House Primary School head Jane Holland has now written a letter to parents warning them about the latest report. She said it had been reported to police and Year 5 and 6 will have an assembly over the horror. The headteacher added: "The child and some school friends were playing in the wooded area of the park when a man approached the child and told him to go with him. "He ran away immediately but the man followed him for a short time until the child called one of his friends and the man ran away.” … [Read more...] about Second child abduction attempt at park where Line of Duty star Sherise Blackman’s son, 11, was chased by two hooded men

Fishmongers' Hall terrorist Usman Khan claimed he was "rebuked" by extremist preacher Abu Hamza for calling non-believers "dirty", an inquest jury has heard. Khan claimed he told Hamza he had "mellowed and lost his edge", Khan's theological mentor said. The mentor, referred to at the inquest as TM, said the story came up at his first meeting with Khan. In handwritten notes from 18 April 2019, four months after Khan's release from Whitemoor Category A prison, TM wrote that Khan told him Hamza "rebuked me" for referring to non-believers as "dirty kuffar [infidels]". The notes added, quoting Khan: "I was young, angry, brash. He had changed. I lost some respect for him then but now see he had reviewed and realised he had regrets about his previous behaviour." "My child is not a lab rat." The words are from a 25-year-old woman, Susan, and they're in reference to her three-year-old twin girls. While she speaks to DW, her eyes flicker between them as they begin to meander away — first together, then in different directions — in a large, open park in Bonn, Germany. "It just hasn't been tested enough," Susan insists. "A few months [of testing]? That isn't safe." So no, she says. Her kids are not getting vaccinated against COVID-19. And she isn't, either. Her husband had to, and she didn't like that. At a nearby playground, another mother, who does not want to share her name, feels very differently. "I'd vaccinate them. If it were allowed, or doable, then definitely." Her 12-year-old daughter, she says, has had two different kids in her classroom get COVID-19. That led to a two-week quarantine — each time. "That's where you realize it affects them too." At some point in the coming weeks, the European Medicines Agency is expected to … [Read more...] about COVID: How many parents will actually vaccinate their kids?
