DANNY Dyer's 11-year-old daughter is left mortified when her dad makes a shocking confession about losing his virginity to her mum. Poor Sunnie will listen to her dad admit he was just 14 when he and her mum Jo Mas first got jiggy with it. And, in a comical and cringey clip, the youngster also makes him squirm when she asks if they used protection - leaving him very sheepish in his response. Looking to the ground and pausing for a while, the 41-year-old unconvincingly agrees that they did. The father-and-daughter duo are taking part in a new three-part series for Channel 4, called Let's Talk About Sex. The show, which airs next Friday, also sees a gobsmacked Sunnie watching a sex clip in shock before turning to her dad and exclaiming: "You lied to me!" Lets talk about love
This is real for Belarus, and my example proves it. “Our native country Belarus should be independent! Let’s be together!” This is what I wanted to say in the restaurant “Titan”, where I was having a good time with my friends in view of the upcoming holidays. So I elegantly approached the show presenter and notified what I was going to say, he answered he would not let me do that because it didn’t match the format etc.I am not just outraged! I’m shaking with anger! In which country on Earth can it be so the words about patriotism and love for one’s Homeland fall under prohibition? This is real for Belarus, and my example proves it.At the time when Lukashenka and his allies are saying the right words about the independence of Belarus at every corner, here in Minsk some show presenter, and the director of “Titan”, do such a thing. It came to the point that they called the guards and started a conversation to calm me down. They … [Read more...] about In Which Country On Earth Is It Prohibited To Speak About Love For Homeland?
Mel C joined students at a school spearheading our Learn to Live campaign to talk about how they have been inspired by children living in war zones and refugee camps around the world. The Spice Girls star visited Hornsey School for Girls – one of the schools which has been linked with children affected by war as part of our campaign – to hear what the students had learned. Mel C heard how the London schoolgirls had exchanged books on the women that inspire them with the girls in the Zaatari refugee camp in Jordan to share stories of female empowerment. The London students chose the refugee children in Jordan as the most inspirational females that they knew. Harriet Webster, 13, said she has been touched by one of the stories of a girl whose father had lost his leg. She said: “It is amazing just how amazing they are. They went through that and still managed to carry on.” Many of the students from the UK and Jordan chose their … [Read more...] about Spice Girl Mel C joins students to talk about inspirational child refugees #LearntoLive
WHEN family or friends open up and tell you they’re struggling, it can be hard to know how to respond. Here are the dos and don’ts of what to say – and how to say it. Prince Harry’s talking about it. Ruby Wax has written a show about it. And everyone from Gary Barlow to Fearne Cotton has published a book about it. But if a friend or loved one tells you they have been diagnosed with a mental health problem, would you know how to respond? Talking about illness doesn’t magically make it go away, but just knowing they can open up to someone can give people relief – and it’s harder than you think to get the conversation wrong. Jo Loughran, director of Time to Change, the national campaign to end mental health discrimination, says: “You don’t have to be an expert to talk about mental health – it’s about listening and not judging.” And if someone confides in you, be patient and give them the time and space they need … [Read more...] about How to talk about mental health with your struggling friends or family — and the dos and don’ts of what to say and how to address illness
In a follow-up to his moving RTÉ documentary about his father’s failing health, Brendan Courtney turns his attention to his newly-widowed mother, writes Ailin QuinlanAn aging mother dealing with widowhood, a middle-aged son trying to help a parent too shell-shocked by bereavement to make decisions for her future — it’s an all-too familiar predicament. However, fashion designer and TV presenter Brendan Courtney tackled this common problem in an unusual way. He made a television documentary about it. Courtney’s question is how much responsibility do we need to take for our ageing parents — and how much responsibility lies with parents themselves to sit down with adult children and discuss the choices facing them? “We’re an ageist culture,” says Courtney (46), whose hit 2017 documentary We Need To Talk About Dad struck a chord with thousands of people around the country, generating a massive public response through … [Read more...] about For Brendan Courtney now it’s time to talk about mam
