To outsiders, his Smart Rail Connectivity Campus (SRCC) may sound a tad too technical — to Claus it's nothing less than the stuff that rail traffic's digital future in Europe is made of. A couple claimed they missed out on a £182m EuroMillions jackpot when their numbers were drawn but their ticket payment didn’t go through. Rachel Kennedy, 19, and Liam McCrohan, 21, have been left “absolutely heartbroken” when they realised their usual numbers of 6, 12, 22, 29, 33, 6 and 11 had come up. They had played the same numbers for five weeks in a row, before all seven digits appeared in Friday night's draw. Rachel explained how she had set up her account to automatically buy a EuroMillions ticket for each draw - but when payment for Friday's ticket was attempted, the lottery account did not have enough funds. Checking her account after Friday's draw, she was greeted with a message saying her numbers were a "winning match" - however her heart sank when she realised the glitch, reports The Sun. In the summer of 2018, rumors began circulating on WhatsApp groups about a kidnapping gang operating in India's western state of Maharashtra. The rumors eventually inspired a lynch mob that killed five migrant workers who were suspected of being kidnappers after they arrived at a village in the state's Dhule district. This wasn't an isolated case. Child-abduction rumors spread by viral WhatsApp messages were connected to at least 17 murders across India in 2018. Rumors of cattle traders and organ harvesters also resulted in violent attacks on innocent people. Since then, India's fake news problem has continued to grow . More than 400 million Indians now use the internet, but digital literacy and social media regulation have yet to catch up.
