Princess Haya and her irrepressible lawyer Baroness Shackleton swept into the High Court today as her costly legal battle with Dubai's billionaire ruler over keeping their two children in Britain came to a head. The Jordan-born royal, 45, has employed Britain's top divorce lawyer, 63, dubbed 'Steel Magnolia' because of her charm and determination, and also famed for her killer outfits. Baroness Shackleton is arguing for orders to prevent one of Haya's children being forced into marriage and another designed to help victims of domestic violence to stop Sheikh Maktoum forcing his family back to Dubai. Middle-aged bachelors are fuelling the rise in the number of people living alone, new government data shows. The Office for National Statistics (ONS) published data on families and households in the UK for 2019. According to the latest data, the number of households in the UK grew by almost a quarter-of-a-million in 2019, marking a 0.9% rise from the previous year. It went up by 249,000 to 27.8 million. Meanwhile the number of people living alone has risen by a fifth over the last 20 years in what researchers deemed a “statistically significant increase”. It rose from 6.8million in 1999 to 8.2million in 2019, with the majority of this increase driven by the growth in the numbers of men - predominantly aged between 45 and 64 - living alone (72.1%). Etna threw tons of molten rock and a huge plume of thick black smoke into the night sky over Sicily after she began erupting on Saturday. Airspace over the Italian island of Sicily was briefly closed after the eruption began. The volcano's eruptions can sometimes last for days at a time. The famous volcano, which stands at 3,295m high, regularly erupts, but most are short-lived. Etna is in an almost constant state of activity, but is not considered particularly dangerous. The last major eruption took place in 1992. The rich volcanic soil on the mountain slopes is home to many farms and vineyards. THE deadliest regions for motorists in England have been revealed. Drivers in London are the most likely to be involved in a deadly car accident, new government figures have revealed. A recent investigation by AMT Auto has revealed the UK's capital as the most dangerous place to drive, with 112 fatalities caused by road accidents in 2018. Shockingly, London also led the country in the most injuries sustained in accidents, with 30,617 casualties just last year. The south-east was another hotspot for crashes, with more than 25,000 casualties and 258 fatalities reported by police. Drivers are also likely to sustain a crash in the north-west, with more than 17,000 injuries and 194 deaths in the past 12 months.Lancashire, Kent, Surrey were the most dangerous countries to get behind the wheel, with 120 deaths reported between in 2018. Meanwhile, Brits taking to the road in the north east are likely to go unharmed in an accident, with just over 5,000 injuries and 52 fatalities. Dr Katia De Filippo claims the home she shared with her estranged ex Luca Manetta and their young child, has been left 'derelict and ugly'. The Imperial College London immunologist split with her wealthy partner in 2016 and has since moved into a rented home with her parents, while her once 'lovely home' in west London remains empty.
