PSG fans got their own back on Barcelona after setting off fireworks outside their hotel at 4am. The French champions in February were given a rude awakening as Barca supporters tried to stop of Ligue 1 champions from sleeping. It clearly didn't work, as PSG left Spain with a 4-1 advantage, with superstar Kylian Mbappe scoring three of those vital away goals. Barca have it all to do and matters may be worse now after PSG fans returned the favour with a fireworks display in the earlier hours of the morning. It was the latest in attempts from supporters to put off the LaLiga giants, as a section of sick fans held up a Shakira ‘prostitute’ banner. He rubs shoulders with the likes of Will.i.am and Jennifer Lopez , drives a fleet of supercars and holidays in exotic places. Not bad for a lad who was expelled from school and grew up in a house crammed with 18 family members. While high street stores such as Debenhams, New Look and Marks & Spencer have seen sales plunge, BooHoo has bucked the trend. In the first half of this year it reported a hefty 43 per cent rise. The Manchester-based firm specialises in fast, cheap fashion for tweens and 20-somethings and is worth £3.8billion. Its executive chairman, Umar’s dad Mahmud, and his business partner Carol Kane — who started the business in 2006 … [Read more...] about How PrettyLittleThing boss Umar Kamani went from being expelled from school to billionaire playboy
Borussia Dortmund 1-2 (2-4 agg.) Manchester City, Signal-Iduna Park (Bellingham 15' - Mahrez 54' pen., Foden 75') "This is the only way for Borussia Dortmund," said Hans-Joachim Watzke this week. The Dortmund chief executive was defending the Bundesliga club's policy of scouting young players, offering them a platform to develop, and selling them on for a large profit. "And it's working fantastically." After defeat to Manchester City saw Dortmund exit the Champions League, perhaps for over a year given their current position in the Bundesliga, it may seem hard to believe Watzke. But the 61-year-old has a point. Speaking to the BBC, he was responding to accusations from City manager Pep Guardiola that Dortmund pay too much to agents in order to secure players. As Watzke pointed out, the Catalan has a habit of forgetting that he has spent almost €1 billion ($1.2 billion) of Abu Dhabi's sovereign wealth on his own team. Because that is what Borussia Dortmund are up … [Read more...] about Borussia Dortmund out of the Champions League – but for how long?
