A newly formed cross-party pro-Remain alliance has ruled out working with Labour MPs until the party clarifies its position on Brexit. South Cambridgeshire Independent MP Heidi Allen MP and chair of the advisory council for Unite to Remain, says she would not work with pro-remain Labour MPs, because the party is not "unequivocally" remain. The comments come the same day Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn said he would campaign for Remain and challenged the next Tory leader to hold a People's Vote before taking Britain out of the EU. Jeremy Corbyn said: "Whoever becomes the new prime minister should have the confidence to put their deal, or no-deal, back to the people in a public vote. "In those circumstances, I want to make it clear that Labour would campaign for Remain against either no-deal or a Tory deal that does not protect the economy and jobs." The Labour party is set to review its decision to expel Alastair Campbell, a senior MP said today. Shadow attorney general Shami Chakrabarti told BBC Radio 4’s Today programme: “Now there will be a review, which is appropriate. “I don’t want to cut across this review, I’m not part of that process. I would not like to see this drag on.” Campbell, who served as former Prime Minister Tony Blair’s spin doctor under the New Labour government, was booted out of the party earlier this week. Labour top brass said the decision was taken after Campbell revealed he had voted Liberal Democrats in the EU elections. THE Human Rights watchdog has launched a formal investigation into whether the Labour Party "unlawfully discriminated against, harassed or victimised people because they are Jewish". The Equality and Human Rights Commission said it had contacted Labour after receiving a "number of complaints" and had "carefully considered" their response before opening the probe. Blair’s former spin doctor has just been given the boot from the party for revealing that he voted Lib Dem at the European elections. Campbell said he was ‘sad’ and ‘disappointed’ to get an email from Labour expelling him from the party: ‘I am and always will be Labour.
