MEGHAN always did want her own biracial doll - and now, the internet is flooded with dolls in her honour. Ranging from toys to figurines, they're currently available on Etsy - and fans are going wild for them. In an old blog post from her now defunct lifestyle website, The Tig, Meghan revealed her father, Thomas Markle, once took apart two Barbie sets to "echo [Meghan's] reality". "This is the same man who took apart two Barbie boxed sets (because you could only buy a white Barbie family or a black one), and made a custom one to bring home to me," she wrote. "...his speciality set included a black Barbie mom, a white Ken doll dad, and two kids – one black and one white." And in a later post - in which Meghan chatted to American ballerina Misty Copeland, the 37-year-old explained: "...you may remember my story of being a little girl and wanting a doll that looked like me: well, Misty is that real life doll—the role model, the pretty princess, the ballerina that the … [Read more...] about You can now get your own Meghan Markle doll… but they’re not exactly lifelike
Knit your own royal wedding
The country is still recovering from the mega-celebration which was Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding. Who could fail to be touched by the sheer romance of the day, with its fantastic guest list, fabulous fashion and look of love on the newlywed Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s faces? With so much to arrange, it’s no wonder the royal couple engaged the services of a wedding planner (and possibly more than one!). While this is a valuable service – sourcing flowers, organising the venue, decorating tables etc - it also, of course, comes at a cost, and many brides-to-be (and grooms) prefer to do their own wedding planning so they can spend their money they’ve saved elsewhere – perhaps on the honeymoon. Bloom Magic , the popular online flower delivery service, decided to run a national survey and calculate just how much brides-to-be would have earned if they’d been paid a fee for all the hard work they’d done on their own weddings – … [Read more...] about Brides would earn £8k if they were paid to plan own wedding
MOST people turn 50 with a certain degree of trepidation or even dread – but Kylie Minogue has never been most people. The Princess of Pop has bounced back from a heartbreak- induced breakdown, found a new love and now concedes she may have been a little too hasty ruling out marriage. Speaking for the first time since hitting the milestone, Kylie admits she does feel different as a 50-year-old. In an exclusive interview at a Sun-backed concert in Cannes, she says honestly: “I do, do. It’s been looming. “Yes, I’m more content. Some things have started to make sense. I mean, you accept it or you don’t. And I think the best way to accept it is with open arms. “I say yes or no much quicker than I used to, which is probably good for everyone else as well.” I suggest a large part of that happiness may be down to her three-month relationship with Paul Solomons, GQ magazine’s creative director — her first relationship since that … [Read more...] about Kylie Minogue chats turning 50, her career and says don’t rule out a wedding just yet

THE Royal Family spends £48 squillion a year on advisers. Alternatively, they could save a fortune and simply purchase a copy of ‘Media Management for Dummies.’ Instead, we have the latest, high-octane episode of Keeping Up With the Markles - a sensational rollercoaster of ‘family’ dramas that make the Kardashians looks like The Waltons. There’s the off message half-sister who has branded her famous sibling as ‘a social climber,’ the even more off message half-brother who describes her as ‘jaded’ and ‘shallow,’ a nephew who sells cannabis wraps called Markle Sparkle, and, now, the ‘reclusive’ father who, it turns out, was being paid to pose for supposedly snatched paparazzi shots. Ah yes, just another tale of ordinary folk. But you know what? I actually feel a certain amount of sympathy for the father of the impending Royal bride. Yes, Thomas Markle is undoubtedly the architect of his own … [Read more...] about Just how did Harry and Meghan’s army of advisers turn this wedding into an episode of Keeping Up with The Markles?
