Ellie Goulding. Ring a bell? If not, it will—and soon. She's a rising pop star in Great Britain and, as it turns out, has just scored an invite to sing at the wedding reception of Prince William and Kate Middleton! So just how'd this lady get to be so lucky? Let's just say it takes talent. While still largely unknown in the U.S., the 24-year-old Goulding is an English singer-songwriter who, according to the Daily Mail, has been tapped by the royal couple to perform her cover of Elton John's "Your Song" (a unique take if ever there was one) and other tracks off her debut album, Lights. The record topped the U.K. charts last year upon its release, winning near-universal accolades from critics and garnering her a fast-growing fan base. Much of that success has been driven by the hits "Under the Sheets," "Starry Eyed" and "Guns and Horses." While promoting her new collection at London Fashion Week, the 71-year-old Brit had some criticism for the resourceful royal. "I don't have any advice for her, [although] I think it would be great if she wore the same clothes over and again, because that's very good for the environment and it would send out a very nice message," she said, as excerpted by Us Weekly. More of Vivienne's advice for Kate "If you're going to all that trouble to get an outfit that suits you, then you should keep on wearing it," she added. "I mean, you don't have to have a red outfit one day and then something almost the same in blue the next." Vivienne also criticized Kate's eyeliner back in 2011. JOHN STILLWELL/AFP/Getty Images; alexski.com Kate Middleton and Prince William recently released six beautiful photos from their family ski vacation with Prince George and Princess Charlotte. A handful of lucky skiwear companies were undoubtedly delighted to members of the royal family wearing their gear. PETA U.K., however, was not pleased to see Duchess Catherine wearing a pair of Restelli Guanti gloves lined with possum fur. News in a statement. "Animals who are not killed outright by these devices can endure horrific injuries and languish for days before eventually dying of hunger, thirst or blood loss. Some trapped animals, especially mothers desperate to return to their young, chew through their limbs in a frantic attempt to escape. Since so many … [Read more...] about Kate Middleton Criticized by PETA U.K. for Wearing Fur-Lined Ski Gloves
