Kanadába mehetnének az amerikai nők abortuszért

June 27, 2022 by hu.euronews.com

[Read more...] about Kanadába mehetnének az amerikai nők abortuszért

Quebecben vezekel Ferenc pápa

July 28, 2022 by hu.euronews.com

[Read more...] about Quebecben vezekel Ferenc pápa

Theresa May tells Trump US tariffs are not justified

June 4, 2018 by www.bbc.co.uk

Published 4 June 2018 Share close Share page Copy link About sharing The prime minister has told President Trump that new US steel and aluminium tariffs are "unjustified and deeply disappointing". Theresa May was speaking in a 30-minute phone call with Mr Trump that UK officials described as "constructive". Downing Street said Mrs May underlined the need to safeguard jobs and they agreed to discuss it further at the G7. International Trade Secretary Liam Fox said the response to the US tariffs must be "measured and proportionate". He told MPs: "It is right to seek to defend our domestic industries from both the direct and indirect impacts of these US tariffs ... it's important that the United Kingdom and the EU work within the boundaries of the rules-based international trading system." The US tariffs of 10% on aluminium and 25% on steel from the EU, Canada and Mexico have been … [Read more...] about Theresa May tells Trump US tariffs are not justified

Ukraine war: All the key developments to know from Friday

August 5, 2022 by www.euronews.com

Outrage in Kyiv after Amnesty accuses it of endangering civilian life Ukraine has reacted furiously to an Amnesty International report that accuses it of riding roughshod with civilians in the country's fight against Russia. In a report, the humanitarian organisation claimed the Ukrainian military has endangered civilians by placing bases and weapons in residential areas -- including schools and hospitals -- as it has sought to repel the Russian invasion. "Ukraine’s tactics have violated international humanitarian law as they’ve turned civilian objects into military targets," said Amnesty. "The ensuing Russian strikes in populated areas have killed civilians and destroyed civilian infrastructure." Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy denounced the findings. Amnesty "transfers the responsibility from the aggressor to the victim," he said in his daily video address, accusing the NGO of "attempting to grant amnesty to the terrorist state" of Russia. No. It's a f***ing hammer to the head and he’s dead. Or it's time to go to the sanatorium." According to Mr Hoffman, three top Kremlin players could replace the dictator if he were eventually assassinated – Nikolai Patrushev, the chief of the president's Security Council; Alexander Bortnikov, the director of Russia's intelligence agency FSB, and the country's vocal defence minister, Sergei Shoigu.
