An Islamist preacher who was involved in anti-Jewish demonstrations in London has been accused of “stirring up hatred” in Leicester, where attacks on Hindu temples and shops led to dozens of arrests. Mohammed Hijab was one of the leading figures during demonstrations in the capital that were condemned as anti-Semitic by Jewish groups. It can now be revealed that Mr Hijab was last week also in Leicester , where anti-Hindu demonstrations turned violent and later spread to Smethwick, in the West Midlands. Clashes broke out in the city on Saturday, September 17, when a group of young Hindu men marched through Green Lane Road - where there are several Muslim-owned businesses - shouting "Jai Shri Ram", a religious chant which has been co-opted by far-right Hindu nationalist groups in India. Other videos shared online depicted Muslim men retaliating, including incidents of bottles being thrown and a man clothed all in back climbing a Hindu temple and removing its saffron flag as … [Read more...] about Islamist preacher accused of ‘stirring up hatred’ in Leicester

The NFL and Apple Music learned that lesson last night, after making an announcement that the platform would sponsor future Super Bowl halftime shows , ending a longtime partnership with Pepsi. As die-hard Swifties know, Swift has a deal with Coke, making an appearance at a Pepsi Super Bowl Halftime Show near impossible. Not only did the news open the door for a future performance, it came at midnight, which just so happens to be when Swift has been dropping hints about her upcoming album, Midnights — a perfect promotional vehicle for a forthcoming T-Swift halftime show. Martyn "Bomber" Bradbury is one of New Zealand's leading - and probably the noisiest - Left-wing commentators in New Zealand. The former editor of Auckland University's student magazine Craccum, where he gained the "Bomber" nickname, Bradbury was described by Listener Magazine back in 2005 as "possibly New Zealand's most opinionated man". Unlike the Right-wing Whale Oil, Wednesday's foray into news generating - where Prime Minister John Key apologised to a waitress who accused him of repeatedly pulling her hair at an Auckland cafe - is relatively rare for The Daily Blog. Founded in 2013, it has become a home for more than 40 Left-wing bloggers, and focuses almost exclusively on commentary. Bradbury's blog posts, which often come several times a day, mainly seethe at the behaviour of the National-led Government, and at the main stream media (MSM) treatment of political issues. Today Bradbury refused to be interviewed, saying he was "in meetings". He described himself … [Read more...] about The bombastic Martyn Bradbury
