Harry Dunn's mother has made an emotional appeal to president-elect Joe Biden, pleading with him to review her son's case. The NBC late-night sketch series, which returned to a studio after COVID-19 halted filming, began with an almost 14-minute sketch featuring several well-known stars. Alec Baldwin played president Donald Trump before his COVID-19 diagnosis , Jim Carrey featured as the president's election rival former vice president Joe Biden and Maya Rudolph made a cameo appearance as Kamala Harris. NATIONAL Guard troops have become sick after they were apparently served moldy food containing metal shavings and raw meat while protecting the US Capitol. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has been blamed on social media for the atrocity, with some calling for the soldiers to be sent home. A staff sergeant with the Michigan National Guard who wished to remain anonymous told WXYZ that the force has repeatedly complained after more than a dozen troops were made ill by raw meat. Over 25,000 troops were ordered to Washington to protect the Capitol during President Joe Biden's inauguration as a result of the violent coup attempt on January 6. Harry Dunn's family has been given permission to go ahead with a civil claim against the teenager's alleged killer and her husband. The ruling was made by a judge in the Alexandria district court in the US state of Virginia on Wednesday, allowing the civil claim against Mr and Mrs Sacoolas and a claim of "vicarious liability" to be brought against the suspect's husband. The law of vicarious liability in Virginia means that Mr Sacoolas could be liable for the teenager's death by allowing his wife to use the car which killed him. The Dunn family's spokesman Radd Seiger told the PA news agency: "Harry's family are very pleased at the ruling today and that their claims have been allowed to proceed in full.
