Her romance life has been thrown up in the air by the coronavirus pandemic in the third national lockdown. But she's already has been blocked from dating app Hinge because she said it thinks she's "a catfish". In a confessional mood, Megan admitted she's a "bit of a serial dater" when she talked about her dating habits. She said: "I'm a bit of a serial dater. There'll always be someone on the go, even if it's just flirty texting, but there's not much for single people to do right now. "We're still in lockdown and it would be great to have a Netflix partner to watch all these new shows with, plus I'm currently blocked from Hinge because it thinks I'm a catfish." Nicola Sturgeon vows to ‘get on with the job’ as she awaits Alex Salmond inquiry ruling
Scotland's First Minister Nicola Sturgeon has vowed to "get on with the job" after answering eight hours' of questions over her government's handling of harassment claims against her predecessor Alex Salmond. A day after her lengthy evidence session before a Scottish parliament committee, Ms Sturgeon said she would now "rest on that". Mr Salmond, who was first minister from 2007 until 2014, was awarded a pay-out of more than £500,000 by the Court of Session after it ruled in January 2019 that the Scottish government had acted unlawfully. He was acquitted of 13 charges in March 2020 following a criminal trial. Co-op Group faces crunch board meeting over £80m state funding repayment
The Co-op Group, Britain's biggest mutual, is to hold a crunch board meeting next week amid pressure to follow rival supermarkets' example and repay £80m of state funding handed to it during the pandemic. Sky News has learnt that directors of the groceries-to-funeralcare provider - headed by chairman Allan Leighton - will meet next Tuesday to debate whether to repay the funding it received in the form of business rates relief and furlough payments. People close to the situation said the Co-op's boardroom had seen "robust dialogue" over the issue, with some directors keen to repay the funding in full. Although the board is not yet technically split on the question of handing the money back because a vote has yet to take place, sources said "deep divisions" were expected to be exposed next week. The decision is expected to be made public in the group's annual results announcement early next month. George Floyd: US House of Representatives approves police reform bill banning chokeholds
A police reform bill in honour of George Floyd that will ban chokeholds and "qualified immunity" for law enforcement officials has been passed by the US House of Representatives. The George Floyd Justice in Policing Act would also ban no-knock warrants, mandate data collection on police encounters, prohibit racial and religious profiling and redirect funding to community-based policing programs. The 220-212 vote comes nine months after Mr Floyd , a black man, died when a police officer in Minneapolis pressed a knee on his neck for several minutes. As he died, Mr Floyd was repeatedly heard to say: "I can't breathe." His death in May 2020 prompted massive protests across the US and around the world calling for an end to racial injustice and police brutality.
