JEREMY Corbyn's popularity is in crisis and the Labour leader goes down like a "plate of warm sick" in the party's heartlands outside London, according to a top pollster. "Jeremy Corbyn is a phenomenon whose popularity seems confined to university graduates, in particular in the south of England," the chairman of polling firm Savanta ComRes, Andrew Hawkins, said in an interview with The Sun. According to a poll by YouGov for The Times last week, the Labour leader was set to lose the election with only 211 seats but a series of surveys over the weekend predicted a Labour was putting a squeeze on Boris Johnson's lead. A poll by BMG Research for the Independent on Saturday had Mr Corbyn jumping ahead by 5 points to 33 per cent, leaving only six points of wiggle room between the two parties. Mr Hawkins said his analysis still had Mr Johnson ahead of Mr Corbyn. "In seats far-flung from London and the south-east traditional Labour seats, Jeremy Corbyn goes down like a warm plate of sick," he … [Read more...] about Jeremy Corbyn ‘goes down like a plate of warm sick’ in traditional Labour areas that voted for Brexit

‘I did lay a wreath!’ Jeremy Corbyn admits taking part in ceremony where terrorists behind the Munich massacre were honoured and refuses to apologise as he rolls his eyes while quizzed about the controversy
Jeremy Corbyn today admitted he did lay a wreath at a controversial ceremony where Palestinians linked to the Munich terror attacks were honoured - but said he was paying tribute to all those killed in terror attacks. The Labour leader has sparked a storm of controversy after The Daily Mail exclusively published photographs of him holding a wreath at the cemetery. Confronted over the controversy, he angrily rolled his eyes and said it was 'obvious' he was at the memorial service in Tunis in 2014, where members of the Black September group were honoured. But he says he was there to honour all those killed in a 1985 attack on the Palestinian Liberation Organisation (PLO) headquarters, and not the men linked to the massacre. Quizzed over the controversy today, he said: 'I was there when the wreaths were laid – that's pretty obvious.' He added: 'There were many others there that were witness to that, I witnessed many other people laying many … [Read more...] about ‘I did lay a wreath!’ Jeremy Corbyn admits taking part in ceremony where terrorists behind the Munich massacre were honoured and refuses to apologise as he rolls his eyes while quizzed about the controversy
Holding the wreath. Copying prayers: The pictures that make a mockery of Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn who says: ‘I was present, but I don’t think I was involved’
Jeremy Corbyn yesterday admitted being at a 2014 ceremony for Tunisian 'martyrs', but added: 'I don't think I was actually involved in it.' The Mail revealed that the men honoured were linked to the Munich massacre in which 11 Israelis were killed. Mr Corbyn has denied commemorating the terrorists but pictures of the event show him standing at the foot of their graves. Last night Labour said he had not laid a wreath on the graves of those linked to the massacre. Jeremy Corbyn is seen posing with a wreath under a distinctive red canopy as other politicians look on. This canopy runs alongside the graves of Salah Khalaf, Hayel Abdel-Hamid, Fakhri al-Omari and Atef Bseiso, three of whom have been linked to Black September, the group behind the 1972 atrocity at the Munich Olympic Games Mr Corbyn appears to be adjusting the wreath, which is being held by Salman El Herfi, the Palestinian ambassador in Tunisia. He is still standing by the graves of the men … [Read more...] about Holding the wreath. The story that keeps changing: Jeremy Corbyn’s confusing and inconsistent account of what DID happen as he attended wreath-laying event at graves of Palestinian ‘martyrs’
Jeremy Corbyn yesterday gave yet another confusing and contradictory account of his visit to the Tunisian cemetery where the terrorists linked to the Munich Massacre are buried. Since the Labour leader took part in a service to honour Palestinian 'martyrs' during a trip in 2014, he and his aides have given a series of inconsistent explanations about his involvement. Mr Corbyn yesterday appeared to admit being present at a wreath-laying for those thought to be involved in the 1972 killings at the Munich Olympics, but said that he did 'not think' he was involved in actually putting down the floral tribute. Less than six hours later, his office put out a further statement, this time with an unequivocal denial that Mr Corbyn had laid a wreath at the graves of those linked to the Munich Massacre. Jeremy Corbyn, pictured here leaving his home yesterday, has given a confusing and contradictory account of his visit to the Tunisian cemetery where the terrorists linked to the Munich Massacre … [Read more...] about The story that keeps changing: Jeremy Corbyn’s confusing and inconsistent account of what DID happen as he attended wreath-laying event at graves of Palestinian ‘martyrs’
Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu says Jeremy Corbyn deserves ‘unequivocal condemnation’ for attending wreath-laying at Palestinian terrorists’ burial site
Jeremy Corbyn was last night engulfed by worldwide condemnation over his visit to the graves of terror leaders linked to the Munich Olympics massacre. The Labour leader was attacked by the Israeli prime minister, relatives of the murdered athletes, Jewish groups and even his own MPs. And his attempt to quell the row backfired spectacularly when in an extraordinary interview he appeared to admit being present at a wreath-laying for Palestinian terrorists thought to have been behind the 1972 killings, but said that he did 'not think' he was involved. 'I was there because I wanted to see a fitting memorial to everyone who's died in every terrorist incident,' he added. The attempted denial came despite pictures, revealed by the Daily Mail at the weekend, showing him beside their graves at a cemetery in Tunisia. Jeremy Corbyn is seen posing with a wreath under a distinctive red canopy as other politicians look on. This canopy runs alongside the graves of Salah Khalaf, Hayel … [Read more...] about Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu says Jeremy Corbyn deserves ‘unequivocal condemnation’ for attending wreath-laying at Palestinian terrorists’ burial site
