Kid Cudi didn’t pull any punches in letting fans know how he really feels about Kanye West . The Day N Nite rapper, 38, and Stronger hitmaker, 44, were friends for years and had collaborated multiple times before having a very public fall-out last year . Kanye dramatically dropped a planned collaboration with Cudi from his then-unreleased Donda 2 album because, in his words, ‘he’s friends with you know who’. You know who being, of course, Saturday Night Live comedian Pete Davidson , who struck up a romance with Kanye’s estranged wife Kim Kardashian after she hosted SNL in October last year. Cudi didn’t seem too bothered at the time, responding to Kanye’s public announcement by writing: ‘Too bad I don’t wanna be on ur album u….. dinosaur. hahah.’ Now the rapper has taken to Twitter to explain he and Kanye will rap together on a new song with Pusha T, but this will be their last collaboration and it was recorded before they fell out. Taking to Twitter, … [Read more...] about Kanye West blasted by Kid Cudi ahead of new collaboration: ‘I am not cool with that man’

Swamp-pop artist Tommy McLain’s new album complements his legacy: Review
Classic swamp-pop singer Tommy McLain's new album, “I Ran Down Every Dream,” is the 82-year-old singer’s late-arriving tour de force. From North Carolina’s Yep Roc Records, McLain’s latest project, produced by Lafayette singer-guitarist C.C. Adcock, will be released next week. Jonesville native McLain made his recording debut in 1965. The following year, his spectral remake of Don Gibson’s “Sweet Dreams” rose to No. 15 on the Billboard Hot 100 pop singles chart. Manifesting a feverish state of ecstasy and pain, McLain’s version of the Don Gibson torch song outsold even Patsy Cline’s posthumously released 1963 version. For this latest project, Adcock surrounded McLain with an all-star supporting cast, including the singer’s famous British fans Elvis Costello and Nick Lowe; Louisiana stars Ivan Neville, Steve Riley and Jon Cleary; and Texas music legends Augie Meyers and Mickey Raphael. A performer since his high school days in central Louisiana, McLain’s greatest fame came … [Read more...] about Swamp-pop artist Tommy McLain’s new album complements his legacy: Review
What happened to The Silent Twins? Inside strange case as film starring Letitia Wright to be released
The story of The Silent Twins is one that shocked and baffled the nation almost five decades ago. And now a film about their extraordinary story is set to be released with Black Panther star Letitia Wright as June. Patricia will be portrayed by The Long Song and Kindred’s Patricia Lawrance. Directed by The Lure’s Agnieszka Smoczynska, The Silent Twins is set to be released in the UK on December 9. The film is set to bring renewed interest to a cast that, still to this day, has so many unanswered questions. Demi Lovato breaks silence on rumoured diss song about ex Wilmer Valderrama
Demi Lovato broke silence on her latest song 29 in which the singer seemed to have criticised her ex-boyfriend Wilmer Valderrama for dating her as a teenager. The Sorry Not Sorry hit-maker did not confirm the rumours if the hit song is about Valderrama or not during a recent chat with Zane Lowe in Apple Music interview. "When I turned 29, I remember I was on vacation and I just realized I'm 29 now, and it put things into perspective. It put everything into perspective," she said while discussing the song. "And I'm very careful with the way that I answer these questions because I feel like the song says it all," said Lovato, who recently resumed using she/her pronouns. The singer-songwriter went on to say that after turning 29 and attending a rehab program, she gained new insight and wanted to turn it into a song. "I would be lying if I said I didn't have a ton of anxiety about putting out this song. I just said, 'I have to go for this. I have to own my truth,'" Lovato … [Read more...] about Demi Lovato breaks silence on rumoured diss song about ex Wilmer Valderrama
Unprecedented rule change will block dangerous prisoners from automatic release
Dangerous prisoners will be blocked from automatic release by ministers under new powers to protect the public. Ministers have taken unprecedented powers to force criminals to serve jail terms beyond their normal release date if they are judged to pose a “significant risk of serious harm” to the public. The rule change will allow ministers to override judges’ “fixed term sentences”, which set automatic release dates at halfway or two-thirds through offenders’ jail terms. They will instead be able to refer them to the parole board to require them to serve out their full prison sentences before they are released into the community. It had originally been thought that the power would only apply to criminals who were radicalised in jail and therefore became a terrorist threat if freed. But Ministry of Justice (MoJ) guidance, seen by The Telegraph, lists more than 180 types of crime that can justify extended detention if the prisoner is thought to pose a risk of committing them … [Read more...] about Unprecedented rule change will block dangerous prisoners from automatic release

A leaked document listing Activision ’s upcoming releases looks to have revealed Call Of Duty : Warzone 2’s launch date. It’s been about six months since Activision announced it was making a sequel to Call Of Duty: Warzone and, apart from confirming it’s due out this year, we still know next to nothing about it. Activision will finally be talking about the game during a Call Of Duty livestream next month. However, it looks as if one detail – the game’s release date – has leaked ahead of its formal announcement. A document listing upcoming Activision releases seems to have been shared online via a screenshot. Aside from giving away the sequel’s actual name (which is simply Call Of Duty: Warzone 2), it says it will launch on November 16. Russian influence in U.K. politics “is the new normal,” report reveals
The long-awaited "Russia report" into the threat the country poses to U.K. politics has been released. Allegations were made that Russia interfered in British elections in 2019, but this report was due to be released before that election took place. The Kremlin has denied those accusations, along with questions about any interference in the Brexit referendum in 2016 and a previous general election in 2017. But the report said the U.K. is one of Russia's top intelligence targets in the West. The report said that it was "difficult if not impossible to prove" that Russia impacted the results of the election but that "no-one in government knew if Russia interfered... because they did not want to know." The committee said that ministers in government "actively avoided" asking questions about Russian interference because of what they might find out. The report did not cover the alleged interference with the 2019 election as it was completed before but the committee told Newsweek … [Read more...] about Russian influence in U.K. politics “is the new normal,” report reveals

Russia’s most divisive director releases Oscar-nominated film in UK
As the father in Andrei Zvyagintsev's film Loveless drives to work, ignorant of the fact that his son has just gone missing, he listens to accusations on the radio that the media are “whipping up public hysteria” about the end of the world. The director's careful choice of radio programme hints at the tense siege mentality that predominates in Russia , where state television breathlessly details nefarious American plots and restrictive laws are passed so fast that parliament is often nicknamed the “crazy printer”. It is not quite as politically charged as his 2014 masterpiece Leviathan , but the latest movie's astringent depiction of Russia in the late Putin years has sparked similar criticisms of Russophobia at home following its June debut. It opens in the UK on Friday and in the United States on 16 February. The anger is tempered by a grudging respect since Loveless, like Leviathan before it, has been nominated for an Oscar for best foreign picture, as well as a … [Read more...] about Russia’s most divisive director releases Oscar-nominated film in UK
