A parent reluctant to attend a wedding abroad that will "cost a fortune" and is taking place during their child's exam period at school has received a wave of support from users on Mumsnet, the U.K.-based online forum. In a post on Mumsnet's Am I Being Unreasonable (AIBU) subforum, user FamilyNightmares said the wedding is "going to cost a lot of money to go as it is far flung" and guests are required to stay a minimum number of nights. "Literally, it is going to cost a fortune. We are expected to go and there will be nuclear fallout if we don't ," the user said. Explaining that they "don't have a close relationship with the bride and groom," the parent said: "I am massively put out that we have to spend this much money and cut back on other things to do so, but I accepted that we were going." Two sisters who were adopted as babies and lived thousands of miles apart have been reunited thanks to a home DNA test. The popularity of at-home DNA testing has boomed in recent years, as anyone can purchase a simple kit for themselves or a loved one and uncover secrets hidden in their own DNA. MyHeritage, a leading genealogy site, ran a pro bono initiative called DNA Quest in 2018, where it donated 15,000 tests to adoptees to support them in being reunited with their birth families through DNA testing. This resulted in hundreds of reunions, according to the company. Sisters Ashleigh Brown and Laurinda Collado are one of those. Brown and Collado are now aged 33 and 35. The first picture of a "beautiful" four-year-old girl killed in a tragic gas explosion in Thornton Heath has been released by her heartbroken family. Sahara Salman died after a gas explosion at her home sent debris flying through the air, with the south London street left devastated by the blast on Monday morning at around 7am. A mum is accused of faking the deaths of herself and and her seven-year-old son before running away to live under a friend's identity using false identification documents. Dawn Marie Walker, from Saskatchewan, Canada, now faces federal charges of aggravated identity theft and possession of false identification documents after she was discovered across the US border in Oregon. The 48-year-old allegedly led police to believe she and her son had been swallowed up by a river while fishing near Saskatoon, with a passer-by having found a purse, a broken fishing pole lodged in the water and a blanket on July 23. A Nigerian man is said to have been stabbed by his wife's lesbian lover after he walked in on them getting in on. Identified as Ikechukwu Onuma, also known as Ayaaya, he was allegedly knifed to death by the woman in Onitsha, Anambra State. It's been reported in Nigerian media that Ayaaya was attacked by his wife's girlfriend when he arrived home unexpectedly and saw them having sex and making out.
