Former soldier Melvyn Downes says he can’t wait for SAS: Who Dares Wins fans to see him in action on the show as he hopes to pull in a bigger audience than the show has had before. The 55-year-old served for more than 20 years in the Armed Forces – 12 of which involved carrying out missions for the SAS. Melvyn says he will be bringing his decades of experience to put recruits through their paces on the Channel 4 show – and he will be representing people of colour and the working class in the process. The military expert is joining the show as one of the Directing Staff team and will be barking out the orders alongside Jason Fox, Ant Middleton and Mark ‘Billy’ Billingham on the upcoming new series – which filmed in Scotland before Ant was sacked by Channel 4 for alleged inappropriate conduct. THIS is the incredible moment a huntsman spider goes head-to-head with a gigantic wasp in a fight to the death. Dramatic footage of the battle between the two huge creepy crawlies was captured by an Australian family on Christmas Day. They were enjoying a festive lunch in the garden of their Sydney home when the struggle grabbed their attention. In the captivating clip, one family member can be heard asking "who's winning" as the fight unfolded in front of their eyes - with the huntsman becoming pinned down on its back. The wasp then stings its spider opponent several times, as the family gasp "oh no", with one commenting "we can't interfere with nature". After a short - but dramatic - battle, the wasp claims victory after killing the huntsman with multiple stings. One family member can be heard saying "it's done, it's done, the legs are curling".
