Google, which has already announced its Stadia game streaming service will be available in November, will be showing that off at his year's Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), which begins Saturday in Los Angeles. Microsoft is expected Sunday to reveal more about its own xCloud game platform, also being developed to deliver games via the cloud. Sony is partnering with Microsoft to augment its own cloud gaming strategy. Amazon and Apple are also developing online game services, too. GOOGLE Stadia promises to give you top-quality big-budget games on any device you like, killing consoles forever. According to a now-deleted report from Canadian site La Presse, as archived by gaming fans at ResetEra, it will cost you around £9-a-month to access - and you'll have to pay for new games on top of that. Subscribers will be able to play a bunch of older games for free, but if you want to play the latest blockbusters you'll have to fork out for each one. It's not going to be a huge catalogue either, with 31 games planned for launch, according to the report. One of the big selling points of Stadia is that it doesn't require you to shell out on new hardware to play games on, because the games will all run on Google's computers in their data centres. APPLE is plotting to launch new iPads and an updated version of the iPod Touch this year, a new report suggests. The information is based on code buried inside Apple's latest iPhone update – revealing a possible slew of gadgets coming soon. Most years, Apple hosts a big launch event in the spring – typically in late March. We won't find out for sure until a week or two before the event, but rumours are already building about what might be on show. Ironically, Apple may have accidentally revealed its hand ahead of time. Gadget site MacRumors has reported references to four new iPad models and a new iPod model inside the new iOS 12.2 update for the iPhone. The hidden code was originally spotted by Steve Troughton-Smith, an app developer who regularly leaks Apple news.
