ANKARA House sales across Turkey declined 12.5 percent on a yearly basis in August with a more than 67 percent yearly decrease in mortgaged sales, official data has shown. Data from the Turkish Statistics Institute (TÜİK) also showed on Sept. 19 that a total of 3,866 properties were sold to foreigners with a 129.6 percent year-on-year increase. According to TÜİK, a total of 105,154 properties were sold across Turkey in August — some 12,743 of them were mortgaged. Property sales were increasing since June after they declined for the previous four months in a row, with the help of a discount campaign with a lower interest rate to revive the market ahead of the snap polls in June. 0 Have your say Commercial property sales in Aberdeen continued to outstrip Edinburgh and Glasgow in the three months to June, according to the latest analysis by the Scottish Property Federation (SPF). For the second successive quarter, its activity exceeded that in the other two cities, with a total sales values of £123 million. While this figure is 26 per cent lower than the Granite City’s total from the previous quarter, it is 68 per cent greater than the same period in 2017.By comparison, commercial sales activity in Edinburgh and Glasgow was “subdued”. With property prices soaring, you may not have realised you can buy a home for as little as £19,000. During the month February, a County Durham home was the cheapest house to be sold across England and Wales. The property, on Queen Street in Grange Villa, changed hands for just £19,000. A house on Matthews Road in Murton that sold for £20,000 came second on the list. Data from the Land Registry has revealed properties in the North East were among the cheapest in England and Wales to be sold in February, Chronicle Live reports. A total of seven County Durham homes, including properties from Ferryhill, Horden and Peterlee, were sold in the same month for £25,000 or lower.
