My son is a real-life Wreck-it Ralph – he’s destroyed 12 TVs and poured SOIL all over my new living room

· March 8, 2021 ·

AS we're sure all parents will agree, toddlers are energetic, rebellious and - most of all - MESSY. Well if you thought you had it bad with permanent marker scribbles on your furniture, then spare a thought for Shyama Underwood. The mum-of-four, 35, from Northampton, says she hasn’t been able to take her eyes off her youngest son, Jaxon-Carter, three, since he started walking at 10 months old. Since then, the cheeky tot's warpath of destruction has set Shyama back a staggering £6,000. If breaking 12 TVs wasn't bad enough, Jaxon-Carter has also done a spot of redecorating by leaving painted handprints all over the walls before pouring SOIL over the family's new living room. But despite efforts to discipline him, Shyama says telling Jaxon-Carter not to do something makes him want to act out more. She said: "Everyone in the family calls him Wreck-It Ralph because nothing is safe in his path. "From the moment he started walking I’ve not been able to turn my back on … [Read more...] about My son is a real-life Wreck-it Ralph – he’s destroyed 12 TVs and poured SOIL all over my new living room

Dutch burka ban comes into force banning ALL face-coverings on public transport, schools and public buildings

· August 1, 2019 ·

A NEW Dutch law today bans face-covering clothing including the burka and niqab worn by Muslim women. The partial ban means people cannot cover their faces on public transportation, in government buildings and at health and education institutions. The Netherlands, long seen as a bastion of tolerance and religious freedom, is the latest European country to introduce such a ban, following the likes of France, Germany, Belgium, Austria and Denmark. Muslim rights groups have voiced opposition to the law formally called the "partial ban on face-covering clothing". And an Islamic political party in Rotterdam has said it will pay the €150 fines for anybody caught breaking it. There were no immediate reports this morning of anybody being fined under the new law, which was passed despite the fact that very few women in Holland wear a burka or niqab. In fact, estimates put the number at a few hundred in this nation of 17 million. 'PARTIAL BAN' Far-right lawmaker Geert … [Read more...] about Dutch burka ban comes into force banning ALL face-coverings on public transport, schools and public buildings

Vladimir Putin’s ‘secret love child’ marks 18th birthday by debuting as DJ at ‘trendy’ Moscow nightclub

· March 7, 2021 ·

A STUDENT said to be Vladimir Putin’s secret daughter has celebrated her 18th birthday by DJ-ing at a trendy Moscow club. Luiza Rozova, also known as Elizaveta Krivonogikh, was reportedly seen for the first time being driven by an official government car to the packed venue in the Russian capital. The 68-year-old Russian strongman has never acknowledged her as being his daughter, after her existence was first reported on four months ago. He is rumoured to have fathered her with Svetlana Krivonogikh, 45, who it’s claimed is a cleaner-turned-millionaire who owns a nightspot featuring "erotic shows”. According to local media reports, “numerous” Interior Ministry police in plainclothes from a special unit normally deployed to counter extremism were on duty at Rovesnik for the birthday bash. Some journalists were expelled from venue which describes itself as a “cool and affordable bar and art space”. Luiza was not named in advance but billed as a “super secret … [Read more...] about Vladimir Putin’s ‘secret love child’ marks 18th birthday by debuting as DJ at ‘trendy’ Moscow nightclub

Taxpayers could fund Boris Johnson’s flat revamp as No10 refuses to rule it out

· March 2, 2021 ·

No10 has refused to rule out taxpayers footing the bill for a lavish revamp of Boris Johnson's grace-and-favour flat. The Prime Minister's spokesman repeatedly refused to say today if the state would fund a refurbishment of the four-bed quarters above 11 Downing Street, overseen by his fiancee Carrie Symonds. Instead No10 said the public must wait until this summer when details are published in the annual accounts of the Cabinet Office. The changes come just a decade after the flat was reworked by David and Samantha Cameron, including £30,000 on a new kitchen. Ms Symonds has removed Theresa May ’s “John Lewis furniture nightmare” and paintings by British artist John Nash hang alongside works by the PM himself, according to an article in Tatler. The Daily Mail reported the revamp includes “gold wall coverings” and was inspired by interior designer Lulu Lytle, whose fabrics that cost upwards of £100 per metre. The newspaper claimed Boris Johnson is now trying to set … [Read more...] about Taxpayers could fund Boris Johnson’s flat revamp as No10 refuses to rule it out
