Barcelona are looking for a first Champions League title since 2014/15, but Gerard Pique has dismissed the notion the players feel extra pressure to lift the trophy after seeing Real Madrid win it in each of the previous three seasons. The centre-back pointed to the fact that several of the Barcelona players have won the tournament before and insisted that they're not motivated by what Los Blancos have achieved. "We don't care what Real Madrid have won, as things go as they go and history is what it is," he said at a pre-match press conference ahead of the quarter-final against Manchester United. And when asked by Bild if his time at Hertha would end at the end of the season, when his loan deal expires, Grujic said: "I hope not! Because I feel very comfortable in Berlin. "Hertha gave me the great opportunity to play in the Bundesliga. "I'm still pretty young, for me this time at Hertha - with the exception of injuries - has been brilliant so far to show my qualities. "Ultimately, it's not up to me. But if I could choose myself, I would stay with Hertha for another year, … [Read more...] about “Best midfielder in 20 years” admits he wants summer move from Liverpool
BRITAIN'S favourite potatoes, including Maris Piper and King Edwards, may not exist in 20 years time. Scientists have warned that diseases are killing crops of traditional potato varieties, which are often used to make chips. Now, experts are attempting to create new breeds of potatoes that can resist diseases before some of Britain's favourite varieties are wiped out. Max Coleman, a potato scientist at the Royal Botanic Gardens in Edinburgh, said: "People are familiar with King Edward potatoes and like them but don't realise they're no longer a viable crop. "We can guarantee that in 20 years time we won't be growing Maris Piper because they won't be viable. "Even now King Edward is one you don't see so much. "But they have this reputation so people still want them." Maris Piper and King Edwards are often used for popular potato side dishes, including chips, mash and roast spuds, because of their taste and versatility. Crisps could be safe for now, with big name brands such as … [Read more...] about British potatoes including Maris Piper and King Edward ‘will not exist in 20 years’
