WWE star Mandy Rose reveals what real-life boyfriend thinks of on-air relationship with Otis… and story was HER idea

July 1, 2022 by www.thesun.co.uk

MANDY ROSE has revealed her popular on-screen WWE romance with Otis was her idea and says her real-life boyfriend has no problem with it. God’s Greatest Creation and Mr Money in the Bank’s relationship was a classic 'Beauty and the Beast' tale done right at Wrestlemania two years ago. The pair were at the centre of one of WWE ’s hottest storylines after the lovable powerhouse finally got the girl at the Showcase of the Immortals in 2020. Following months of twists, Otis sealed his romance with a kiss as Rose took out former partner Sonya Deville and the conniving Dolph Ziggler before being carried in the arms of her new man. And Rose, real name Amanda Rose Saccomanno , has now revealed the story behind her relationship was her idea. Speaking to TVSeriesHub , the 31-year-old said: “Otis always was around in NXT and posting pics of me and talking about how much he liked me. “In a cute way, not a creepy way. “This continued on and I thought it would be great … [Read more...] about WWE star Mandy Rose reveals what real-life boyfriend thinks of on-air relationship with Otis… and story was HER idea

Germany must solve its identity crisis before it’s too late for Ukraine

June 26, 2022 by www.telegraph.co.uk

‘With the attack on Ukraine, we have entered a new era,” announced the German chancellor, Olaf Scholz, back in February. Declaring the Russian invasion a Zeitenwende – a turning point – his bold words seemed to usher in a new age of German confidence and decision-making. war in Ukraine , arguing that it misses “the big issues” such as “our future relationship with Russia”. He also called the idea that it was obvious who was the perpetrator and who the victim in the Ukraine war a “eurocentric” one, and urged caution regarding Ukrainian EU membership: “Being attacked,” Plötner argued, “does not automatically improve a state’s adherence to the rule of law”. With such differing voices in his inner circle, all eyes are on Scholz. Yet the chancellor’s own instincts seem to collide with new ideas. He was certainly quick to row back on Plötner’s remarks, arguing in parliament the next day that a partnership with “Putin’s aggressive, imperialist Russia is unimaginable in the … [Read more...] about Germany must solve its identity crisis before it’s too late for Ukraine

Venice to charge tourists to enter in world first

July 1, 2022 by www.telegraph.co.uk

Venice is to become the first city in the world to introduce a booking system whereby tourists will have to pay up to 10 euros each to enter. The controversial ticketing initiative, announced on Friday, comes after years of rancorous debate over the suffocating effects of over-tourism on the city long known as “La Serenissima”. The authorities say the booking system is essential to combat overcrowding, but critics say it edges the World Heritage city closer to being a warped brand of cultural Disneyland. From January 16, tourists planning to visit will have to make a booking online and pay an entrance fee – or a “contribution to access” as the city prefers to call it. The amount will vary according to how busy the season is – during Easter, the summer holidays, historic regattas and festivals, the fee will be 10 euros per person. During quieter periods of the year, it will be just three euros a head. The booking system will apply only to day-trippers on the basis that they … [Read more...] about Venice to charge tourists to enter in world first

Nicola Sturgeon’s nightmare vision for EU member Scotland makes NI Protocol look like child’s play

June 29, 2022 by www.telegraph.co.uk

Getting Brexit done was a major headache. But taking Scotland out of the UK and into the EU would be the mother of all migraines. Nicola Sturgeon’s dream of an independent Scotland rejoining the EU would make the problems with the Northern Ireland Protocol look simple in comparison. Brussels would insist Scotland treats England as a "third country", which means fresh English sausages, live mussels and unfrozen lasagne would be banned north of the border. English dogs, cats and ferrets would have to be vaccinated three weeks before being allowed into Ms Sturgeon ’s brave new world. Sassenach racing pigeons would be frisked by unsmiling border guards because of EU animal health rules. And English racehorses would face new bureaucratic hurdles to clear before they could compete in independent Scotland. Fortnum & Mason and Marks & Spencer hampers could be a thing of the past for Scottish households, as they are already in Northern Ireland, as businesses decide … [Read more...] about Nicola Sturgeon’s nightmare vision for EU member Scotland makes NI Protocol look like child’s play

Diana portrait showing “emotional strain” from 1990s displayed in London

July 1, 2022 by www.newsweek.com

A rare portrait of Princess Diana painted during the most turbulent period of her relationship with Prince Charles and the British press has been displayed in London for the first time after selling at auction in January for over $200,000. The portrait was painted by artist Nelson Shanks as a preparatory study for a much larger formal painting of Diana which she later hung on the grand staircase of her Kensington Palace apartment. The work was undertaken in 1994 which was a turbulent period in Diana's life coming just two years after her separation from Charles and three years before her tragic death in a Paris car crash . The display of the portrait by British-based art dealers Philip Mould & Co. at the Masterpiece Art Fair in London comes as the first joint painted portrait of Diana's son, Prince William , and his wife, Kate Middleton , was unveiled in Cambridge last month. The Shanks portrait of the princess shows her glancing downwards in what Philip Mould … [Read more...] about Diana portrait showing “emotional strain” from 1990s displayed in London

Internet slams “pushy” in-laws demanding to take 11-week-old baby overnight

July 1, 2022 by www.newsweek.com

A woman has taken to Mumsnet, asking if she is being unreasonable for not wanting her in-laws to look after her 11-week-old baby overnight, prompting one user to respond: User PinkCheetah wrote: "Since she was born, actually since I was pregnant, the ILs [in-laws] have been asking on repeat when they can take the baby away overnight to stay at theirs for a few days at a time. DH [darling husband] and I keep declining for many reasons. "For example, she's exclusively breastfed. And mainly I don't like being apart from LO [little one] too long. Even when she goes out for a few hours with DH [darling husband], I feel unsettled. And I don't agree with some of the things they want to do e.g ILs want to cosleep sometimes. "I do sometimes cosleep but I only trust myself to do this and no one else. ILs have also been dropping hints that I should do things differently. For example, they keep suggesting I should just formula feed, so they can help with feeds. "But I want to keep … [Read more...] about Internet slams “pushy” in-laws demanding to take 11-week-old baby overnight

Millions of women have ditched beauty salons for good – and treat themselves at home

July 1, 2022 by www.dailystar.co.uk

Millions of women have ditched beauty salons for good after learning to treat themselves at home during lockdown – for a fraction of the cost. A poll of 2,000 women, aged 18-45, found one in three (34%) were forced to miss their usual appointments as a result of the Covid lockdowns. But 39% of those admitted they have given up on the idea of returning – as it’s less embarrassing and cheaper to do treatments at home. And more than a quarter (28%) say they love not having to book themselves an appointment in order to pamper themselves. It also emerged that those who have switched to at-home hair removal methods reckon they have saved an average of £160. Olivia Hughes, from Braun, which commissioned the research as part of its Salon to Sofa campaign, said: “A lot has changed in the choices we're making when it comes to our beauty routines today. “Convenience has become an even more important deciding factor for women, alongside reliable results.” It also emerged 62% of … [Read more...] about Millions of women have ditched beauty salons for good – and treat themselves at home
