Peaky Blinders has been hailed as an 'iconic show' by The Hunger Games star Sam Claflin, who is joining the gangster drama for its fifth series. The 32-year-old, who plays Finnick Odair in the dystopian film series, said he felt "privileged" to appear in the BBC One show. There is good news for fans of Cillian Murphy, as the 42-year-old will be reprising his lead role as mob boss Thomas Shelby in the new series, which will be set in Birmingham before the Second World War. Claflin is not the only one to be joining the Bafta award-winning drama as Brian Gleeson, Anya Taylor-Joy, Neil Maskell, Kate Dickie, Cosmo Jarvis and Emmett J Scanlan will all make their debuts in the drama. The Hunger Games is returning to the big screen for a new UK concert tour. The 'world exclusive' event will feature a full symphony orchestra playing the soundtrack as the first film in the franchise is shown in high definition on a giant screen. And it's coming to Birmingham as one of only four dates on the tour. Based on the trilogy of young adult fiction books by Suzanne Collins, the film is set in a post-apocalyptic future, telling the story of Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence), who takes part in the Hunger Games – a televised competition in which the twelve districts of the country of Panem choose a person to fight to the death. The cast also features Josh Hutcherson, Woody Harrelson, Elizabeth Banks, Lenny Kravitz, Stanley Tucci, Toby Jones and Donald Sutherland. The blockbuster film, starring Jennifer Lawrence as Katniss Everdeen, is coming to Manchester's Bridgewater Hall, where its epic score will be performed live on stage while the action plays out on a giant HD screen. Based on Suzanne Collins' successful book trilogy, the film is set in a dystopian, post-apocalyptic future, where young people are offered up as 'tributes' to fight to the death in a televised competition. The imposing score is written by Oscar-nominated and Grammy-winning composer James Newton Howard and also includes a contribution from Canadian rock behemoths Arcade Fire, who wrote the ominous Panem national anthem Horn of Plenty.
