A Cuban-style bar and restaurant is set to open in Huddersfield town centre following a £1m re-development of the former Herbert’s Bar and a charity shop. Bringing a sexy, retro, Latino feel to one of the town’s busiest streets of a night-time will be Revolución de Cuba (RDC). Huddersfield Town players Aaron Mooy, Mathias 'Zanka' Jorgensen and Jonas Lossl will be itching to get a chance for their countries in the World Cup. Town fans will have their eyes peeled for everything to do with Australia and Denmark and for how their players perform – and that’s the magic of the tournament. Every four years you get to see different styles, different characters and different controversies and the World Cup rarely disappoints on any of those fronts. You often discover an unknown talent, too, who produces a bit of magic or scores a great goal, and suddenly the world wants to know who he is. Terence Kongolo is the man Huddersfield Town fans are eyeing up this summer. The Dutch defender endeared himself to the Town faithful with his impressive performances last season and the majority of supporters want to see him back in the blue and white stripes for the next campaign. Nearly 600 fans took part in our end-of-season survey, with 24.1 per cent voting for Kongolo as the best signing of the season. Aaron Mooy came a close second with 21.6 per cent, while Mathias 'Zanka' Jorgensen scooped up third with 15.1 per cent of the vote. When asked which realistic signing they would like Town to make this summer, 37.3 per cent of fans opted for Kongolo - a landslide victory for the AS Monaco full back. Next on the list for Town fans were Xherdan Shaqiri, Danny Ings and James Maddison, while Joe Allen and Solomon Rondon also received a number of votes. Chairman Dean Hoyle readily admits that, had Christopher Schindler ’s spot-kick not found the back of the net at Wembley, the club would have looked a lot different this term.
